Its so funny hearing someone say "WOO she's shredding it" to someone playing a traditional instrument, but its so true, they kill it every time

Classical musicians were completely unironically where modern “rock star” mentality and culture eventually came from. One of the reasons why Paganini was said to have sold his soul to the devil was because of how he had so many female fans, and they went absolutely nuts when he played. Classical composers and musicians were truly the rock stars of their time.

I am not 100% sure but the way the Shakuhachi player moves her head actually affects the sound

4:57 Just wanted to add to that vibe, the shakuhachi player here is the legendary Mamino Yorita. She achieved the rank of Shihan before becoming an adult, setting the record as the youngest Shihan ever by an unbelievably huge margin (for perspective, the average age for achieving the Shihan title is over 60). She has earned surprisingly few awards because as a Shihan, she cannot participate in regular competitions as a competitor, where even many of the judges have not achieved the rank of Shihan.

The word "intense" doesn't even come close to describing the vibe of that song. That's literally heavy metal but with traditional japanese instruments.

This is the music I heard while learning and mastering Dendro Hyperbloom, with MC and Collei, (all that was out in 3.1, that i got.) and Kuki and Candace. The music became the subtext to practicing the tricks to bombing samurai in Inazuma, when all the online words were that Inazuma was extremely difficult.

Just for the record of what the different instruments are called Guitar-like instrument - Shamisen. Played using the paddle, you hit the string with the tip of it. And indeed you're right no frets, it's all by feel and muscle memory. They are also playing the tsugaru style of shamisen, the most famous method with the largest version of the instrument. Flat board stringed instrument - Koto. Played with small nail-like accessories on the right hand called tsume (nail), pluck the strings and use your left hand to add inflection or change the notes. The pitches are set before the song so doing that is necessary to get some notes that aren't covered by the board. Also, again, no pre-set positions, so a lot of koto players have trained or sometimes natural perfect pitch. Wooden flute - Shakuhachi. Pretty self-explanatory on this one, but VERY difficult to play and sound good. Probably the most recognizable sound out of all of these, used in all sorts of popular media. Drums - Taiko. Most people have heard of them, but as you can see there are many different sizes, all of which provide different sound qualities, and require certain technique and skill to play them. Most taiko groups like this one will have multiple types within the group so that a wider range of sounds is available, similar to how a drummer has multiple types of drums in a kit to get different sounds

Oh by the way, does anyone know what the name of the instrument the lady in the red kimono is playing? I had never seen it before I saw this video and it just mesmerises me!

Genshin paid a lot of attention with sacred Japanese culture and this track is tied to the boss battle for the region's God or Electro Archon (Raiden Shogun), the bridge is when the Shogun charges/morphs to an electro for signaling she will unleash her death blow and the drop was also timed to the part that the Shpgun used her Ult (ultimate skill/ability attack) against the player. The bouncing left and right channel is reference to a duel for honor between each chosen one of a clan that gives time/turn to each contender respectively. anyway... Inazuma shines Eternal!

if i’m not wrong, pretty sure the ‘flute’, called the shakuhachi, needs some ‘nodding’ to create vibrato in the tune.
