This movie had some really hilarious moments. It didn't pretend to be anything, or do anything. It was just fun and love for absurdity.

The Smith family loves Dude Where's My Car?

Just want to point out that they lifted "where's your car, dude?" straight from The Big Lebowski. Clearly the writer caught it on the TV one night and a light-bulb lit up above his head; then it exploded and, after replacing it with a new globe, he started writing his magnum opus.

This is actually two scenes spliced together. the first part being the beginning of the movie, before their adventure to find the car. And the second scene is the end of the movie, where they are basically sent back in time with no knowledge of the previous events, but their car is now just parked behind that truck.

Something else interesting is that before I saw this movie for the first time when I saw the title of this movie for the first time, I pictured and heard in my head someone with a (from The Simpsons) Snake-like accent saying "Dude, where's my car?" Not sure why other then I thought that he would stereotypically say a remark like that better than anyone else, because of his stereotypical "dude" accent

The car was really missing. The whole movie was played out and then at the end they did the same thing again, only the car was simply behind the mail truck the second time around.
