Do these new Ducky One 3 series (60/65/TKL etc) boards still have the mouse feature in the firmware using function + WASD keys to use your mouse cursor? and Q key for left click and E key for mouse right click. Use this feature on my old one 2 mini alot for working on servers etc.

I am really happy that more and more keyboards are going hotswap. Sucks about that 2U shift and I am glad you called it out. Quality video as always.

I'm a newbie, but the fact that the shift key is 2U won't stop me from using any switches right, it's only the keycaps that I would need to worry about?

@@aratayano2434 I think this is five pin hotswap so you can use any mechanical switch on these. Just make sure they are not optical.

Hi new to keyboards here… can someone tell me what’s wrong with the “two unit right shift”? I’ve been googling for an hour trying to figure it out lol…. Is that the same thing as a “2u”?

@@cait. the right 2u shift is an odd size. It's the same size as the enter key. It's typically 3u so finding the right size keycap set to fit is going to take some searching. Typically sets that have the extended amount of mods will typically have a 2u right shift.

I love everything about this keyboard expect for the colors. Wish there was a solid black or white.

They have solid white and black now.

One thing worth pointing out is that ducky is one of the very few manufacturers offering high polling rates alongside hot-swap sockets. That for me is huge, and puts the one 3 above much more expensive "custom" kits.

Glad I used your code at MK! Love your reviews. It definitely feels like the Year of the Rat board for 2020 was Ducky's way of testing the waters for hotswap. I actually love the sound of the plastic case there and watching this review really reassures my preorder

I like that a lot of the more enthusiast aimed features are leaking out to the general consumer base

For anyone considering the Ducky SF, you can substitute the numberpad Zero key for the right shift. Numberpad 1u keys can also substitute in for the Mods and the right side PgDn key. Not ideal, but workable.

This board is something that i really wanted 3 years ago, and probably still gonna buy it, since i have a soft spot for ducky.

The ducky we all wanted, a hotswap and the new designed is pretty nice. I do like that it comes with wild colors instead of the traditional Black or white, allows you to be more expressive with your keeb.

I've been a big fan of the Ducky Mecha mini and I'm really hoping for Ducky One 3 TKL version! Might hold out for a little longer but definitely interested in this keyboard. Big thanks for the review.

That’s an OP solution to the 2U shift

Funny, I love Cherry MX clears. The fact that it has the RGB version of the clears is the entire reason I bought this board. I'm fact, all the "down" sides here are my favorite parts. 😄

Planning on getting the TKL version and adding my own switches. Stock stabs didn't sound too bad to me tbh, I wonder if retail copies are any different.

I am SO stoked for the full size version of this!

since my first "non-razer" keyboard was a one 2 mini due to your recommendation back in the day, I have since gone from owning a fjell and mr.suit, waiting for my mode65, and other board from gp. Love your work and thank you for getting me past those "gamer" keyboards. You really are the man

woa from prebuilts, now to all customs. And Damn Mode65 is my dream board too, but decided to pick Ginkgo & Hex 4B instead. The custom feel and sound way way better (and looks much better if you can buy good keycaps sets)

I just bought the TKL version of this. The colors were what grabbed me, but being hotswappable sealed the deal as soon as i saw i could get it with stock blue switches. Its my first actual Mechanical keyboard purchase, coming from a Keychron K1 that was gifted to me

My One2 Mini is such a blast for the price with a little homework to lube the switch. I am really eager to see full white version of the One3 iteration in ISO-FR. Real talk Ducky, when do you plan to offer a 75% ? That's the trending layout for 2022.

Finally a hot-swap! Been waiting for that forever from Ducky! But yeah the color schemes are a little interesting. Maybe in the future, they'll make more classic colors?

For being a case that’s hot swappable, the case material should be more rugged since opening it up is implied.

I got a Ducky a while back since I didn't have the money to get a custom, but wanted a nice mechanical board to hold me over for the time being. For sure wish this was available back then, though I'm hoping they introduce more colors

this keyboard would look so good with the cordura endgame gear mousepad, with them both having yellow & blue on them!

Keep up the great content as always! Looking forward to upgrading to this version of Ducky keyboard. Currently have the One 2 SF. But, the hot swappable is very appealing.

The one big headscratcher to me are the color variants available at launch. Particular as the German importer asks for an extra 40-50 € for the blue and yellow versions, which are the only ones I could see myself buying.

i have been waiting for this video for a few weeks now.

Now most switches are fine with cherry keycaps on north facing LEDs, like the Gateron Yellow, and since this is a relatively "cheap" board, I think most people buying this would buy a budget switch like the gateron yellow and it would be fine.

The colored kailh hot swap sockets are the new version which are rated for more hot swap cycles

Just swapped to Akko Jelly Starfish switches and they really shine in this keyboard

Loving the north facing LEDs/Switches. Ducky's RGB is rad, love it, shine trough keycaps are a must. Love my ducky one 2 mini with silent reds, now I plan getting a wooting 2 60% for gaming and a full size ducky one 3 for typing/work, any quiet tacticle switches for an office y'all recommend?

Hey man, was wondering what switch puller youve been using? thinking of maybe making my first build and trying to piece together the cost of everything that I should get before I pull the trigger

I hate that the white plate gets scratched but you don't even see it when the keycaps go on and it does make the rgb shine brighter.

Great video! Trying to open my ONE 3 SF as well, how did you take off the side plate?

I’d have to grab one to try it but I love the Hotswap feature. What I don’t love is their no communication approach to explaining why there’s still no “promised software” despite that now we have a new board. So I’m thinking it was bull. And also with testing they’ve shown to cheapen out on board components having some of the worse latency on any keyboard in this sector and while it may not matter. It’s the moderate price increases with cheapening parts used and decreasing performance. They’re just another one of the mains now and kind of always were.

Would you go for the One 3 SF or rk61 and mod it, if you wanna begin modding and building custom keyboards? Or would you build your own one for about 150-200$ in price range? I'm thinking about getting a pre-built or building my own.

I'm currently rocking the Ducky Mecha Mini with silent red. I was looking forward for that new One 3 SF, but it doesn't seem to be a big upgrade(hot swap switch is not needed for me). Which one do you recommand for an out of the box SF keyboard?

"It cannot control ping on these switches" - I understand you are saying this to warn buyers, however, while it's true that case dampening can mitigate the phenomenon on certain switches, the only surefire way to remove switch ping is to lubricate the springs. As always, love the content, love that glorious beard!

So I just got the SF. Got some MX Reds that are surprisingly smooth compared to my other MX Reds, but you think I should throw in some Aqua Kings...or is that overkill?

That sound is surprisingly good. Would love to get this bare ones for 99$ to put Boba U4 silents in it. Ducky's RGB is so smooth. Not so sure how I feel about the difficulty of opening it up though :/

Ducky really does have the best RGB in the business. And yeah, if you *have* to open it - you have to be very careful with the end caps. Top case is actually really forgiving and easier to work with but this is a lot tougher than the One 2 SF.

Yes the 60 percent doesn’t need the plastic tabs removed to take out the pcb and go inside. This is because it doesn’t have anything on the front covering the pcb.

Hi BadSeed, would you recommend I get the One 3 SF or the Streak65 LP? I'm stuck between the two.

I can speak from experience from modding a full size one 2. Opening it is not fun and the problem doesnt seem to be fixed on this newer revision. Ducky should really consider using screws instead of plastic tabs.

Most people who buy these premade keyboards like me would never mod it or lube it etc we just stick to stock for various reasons. (My reason I can't be bothered) If I bought this it would be with Cherry Silvers I need speed.

Yes definitely wish the color combos were more neutral

Honestly. I am waiting for the Wooting 60. That's probably gonna be my endgame gaming keyboard. Still will enjoy my custom keeb.

North-facing switches was the right move for this keyboard. Ducky is known for having some of the brightest and most vibrant RGB in the keyboard market so it make sense to have features that compliment their value prop. This board is for people coming from Razer or Corsair and just want something a little more premium or different, not enthusiasts. People that plan on doing heavy modding and swapping out the stock keycaps for some GMK aren't (or is no longer) part of Ducky's target demographic anyway.

I’m new to customizing keyboard and I wouldn’t want it consider this a custom but I want to get the pure white one 3 sf in white and get the ducky joker keycap set so I can put some of the caps and have a purple pink blue and white keyboard. You mentioned interference, would that key cap set be able to fit on the keys (Ik the right shift is a different shape tho) but would I be able to put at least some of those caps on there?

I think is worth the extra 30-40 to go with the Keychron Q2 when released.

I like how he said if you lub the things it would make it sound better and when he did it. it sounded no different.

I think matcha is quite nice. I don't understand the pink+blue. I wish we'd just go pink all the way or pink+white.

I really want to get this keyboard but the design consideration for the arrow keys section looks like an afterthought, like the designer was designing a smaller keyboard and remembered that it needed arrow keys.

Can you compare between fnatic streak 65 lp and onikuma g29? Nobody on youtube has reviewed the onikuma g29 yet. The onikuma g29 is also wireless/wired. Im very interested in low profile mech keyboards atm.

I’m currently really struggling to choose between this ducky or the streak65 low profile thanks to those videos. I’m use to normal pbt keycaps like the ducky but not sure if low profile worth a try or not when you are gaming with the keyboard. Normal pbt keycaps are so satisfaying to play with but low profile seems so easy and classy at the same time!

Nail on the head with the thoughts on available case colours. For me, these colours are fugly and look like they belong alongside one of those weird Disney PCs with the Mickey Mouse monitor. Each to their own of course!

The most convenient way to get the hot-swappable MX Clears is to buy Ducky One 3 with them. Eternally greatful to Ducky 🙏

Oh why did Ducky go with that weird 2u Shift. Why not 1.75u? It would even look better with a slight blocker between the Shift and Up arrow.

Are there any aftermarket cases that are compatible with the One 2 and One 3 SFs?

If they drop a black or white one, I'll definitely pick it up. But some of those color ways are a bit much. An all yellow ducky, really? I almost went blind looking at that thing.

I have bright blue(riviera blue is best blue) keycaps and wire. With gold accents on the cable and a couple keycaps(actually metal) with a white and gold case. Idk why people want a gray,/white/black keyboard. That's what all electronics ever comes in. Live a little.

I hope they make a blackout version of this, instant buy.
