Duckhole Lake track, southern Tasmania

The highlight of this short out-and-back trail is the picturesque Duckhole Lake. Spanning 4.2 km (return), the path, primarily composed of a boardwalk, winds alongside a stream through regenerating forest to reach the lake.
For a portion of the route, the trail traces the path of a late 19th-century sawmill tramway, with remnants of the tramway still visible.
A number of large trees line the path, along with changing vegetation, ferns, tree ferns and woodlands.
