I am planning a six-day Duck Lake trip for next year that includes an extension to Purple and Ram Lakes. Returning to the trailhead we'll take trail 27E08 to stop at Deer Lakes. Your video will be very helpful. Thanks for the additional info about best camping spots. Excellent presentation!

I'll be returning to Duck Lake and Pika Lake in late June 2021. Unlike you, I won't be there over a holiday weekend, so I should have much of it to myself. Thanks for the well-filmed reminder of a place I haven't visited for many years.

I wonder if I'll be able to access Pika Lake over Memorial Day weekend due to snow levels. Anyone have any insight on that would be appreciated?

Do you need a permit to camp at any of these a lakes?

You don't need a reservation just to day hike the trail, right? Is the reservation just for if you want to camp?
