For those that don't know..... I know the guy who was "Puddles" and I can legitimately say that this was not scripted or planned. Purely genuine! He thought it would be funny but after that game he was suspended from being the duck for a few games.

You could see he was really pulling his punches, and doing other pro wrestling type drops that didn't hurt the Cougar at all.

15 years later and this is still golden.

I remember seeing this on live television. For years I thought this memory was just my imagination. Now I know that this actually happened and I’m not losing my mind

I'd like to share the story behind this with you all. The cougar mascot was doing pushups for every point his team had scored after every time they scored. In Autzen that has been the Duck's trademark move for most of a decade. The Duck got pissed, so he went after the Cougar. The Duck was suspended by the Athletic Department from tomorrow's game for fighting.

The fact there’s no music or commentary and only vague crowd noises makes this even better

It's not suspicious, the Oregon Duck actually is Donald. Walt was friends with the athletic director in the 40's and they have an official marketing agreement with Disney.

Nope! The agreement is still in place and it IS Donald! They only rounded the head a little,to be able to have him appear at more events! Agreement is still in place!

He wasn't copying anyone, he was doing UH's traditional push ups for touchdowns. It's a common tradition. Donald/Puddles '07 was just a hot headed idiot. Shasta remained a gentleman.

Apparently there is an agreement between the UO and Disney in which, according to wikipedia, "The agreement gave Disney control over where the mascot could perform and ensured that the performer inside the costume would 'properly represent the Donald Duck character.' " haha
