Ducati Streetfighter V2 2022 - road and track review in south Spain

We have been waiting for ir… and now it's here, and it will be in the showrooms of Ducati dealers as early as December 2021. We had the opportunity in the sunny south of Spain for a first test on road and track. Is, with the basic of the Panigale V2, the best and better for the road Streetfighter?

Thanks for the video and in English [for the world audience]. What a lovely looking bike. It lines are cleaner and sleeker than the V4 Streetfighter and in my opinion this is easily the best looking street naked on the market. It hits the sweet spot between the Hyper nakeds and the middleweights. This could be my next bike.

Excellent review. There is good choice from Ducati for middle weight bikes, this machine, the Monster, and the Super Sport all seem good for the road without extreme sports riding positions.

Excellent review . Love the detailed information about track set up . Only thing missing from most reviews is fuel range when ridden quickly as this was what put me off buying the v4 streetfighter.

Consumption is much lower than that of the V4. About 5.6 litres with a very sporty riding style. Fuel tank capacity is 17 litres. The rest is simple mathematics ;)

What a looker. Stunning bike, Im only a bit disapointed about the price. 1k less than the Aprilia V4 factory and 2k more than the more powerfull MT10. For 16ish k it would fly out from the dealers but I will wait for a sale or buy something else.

Great review, thanks, love the bike. The only minor thing is the Pirelli Rosso IV - it's the old Roman numeral 4 at the end, not the letters I V.

I can’t get over the extra lap the exhaust pipe has to take underneath the saddle, thanks Euro 5! This has been done slightly better on the Super Duke R by going round the engine in my opinion;)

Yep, they're just making harder and harder to design bikes with these BS standards. If they had it their way we'd all be riding around on electric scooters or pedal bikes.

be realistic. who the fuck buys this bike and keeps the stock exhaust? unless its illegal to change exhaust where they live.

  • @tubejorrit

@@bazitube390 Even with another exhaust you keep the exhaust bend because the bike needs equel lenght headers. KTM solves this by having the bend underneath the engine.

The exhaust under the seat isn't a euro 5 thing, it's a Ducati thing. It's been that way in the penigale for a while and it's to keep the exhaust runners equal length while also keep weight centered on the bike. It's sucks for your legs but it's a great design for performance purposes.

at 2:55 you say in terms of materials it ranks at an identical level to the V4... Except it doesn't. The switchgear for example is ALL lower grade than the V4, take a look at them side by side to see. The seat material also is lesser quality.

Agreed, its to close to the V4, you can even buy an one year old v4 for the same price as a new v2 at the moment. It's a shame because if it was 2000,- euro cheaper I would have bought one right now.

If it only was lighter... I am actually very interested by this machine but the weight make no sense to me.(well the restrictions are an explanation but still :P ) I would love to see a more stripped down version, ie less plastic on the machine when it comes to the engine area ie would love to see more of the engine, and the hoses and such could be integrated in the engine side cases and only be rubber a short length between the engine and the radiator for the more raw version. It would add some weight but think we are getting past the weight weenie stage anyhow with how the bike is now :)

You an absolute FOOL if you think the V-4 has too much power in the USA!!! When you ride on the interstates in the USA, cars are traveling 80-100-mph, so the Streetfighter V-4S power is well used to keep you safe!!! How is the V-4 Loud ? Dont people ride with ear plugs and a helmet ? The V-4 with full Akropovic Exhaust is just GLORIOUS !!!!! THe V-4S Streetfighter has been the best motorcycle I have ever ridden/owned. My only complaint is it needs cruise control!!! heated seat/grips

Why not a different design like the previous streetfighter 848 or 1098, which was more attractive with it's exposed chassis rods. This design sucks and doesn't make it a real ducati streetfighter
