Ducati Streetfighter 848 - MotoGeo Review
Автокөліктер мен көлік құралдары
The Ducati Streetfighter 848 is naked, aggressive and littered with performance products.
MotoGeo's Jamie Robinson tells you all about the machine that he took on the Italian Adventure and what gives the Streetfighter lots of character.

According to motogeo every bike is the best bike ever.
Great review! Test rode the 848 streetfighter and the 899 panigale and IM IN LOVE WITH THE 848.
This is the video that inspired me to travel to Bologna, rent a bike and ride SP65! Thanks Jamie! I did exactly what you said!
my dad got one and she's so amazing. But my dad has kinda customized it a litte and his looks so much better (different mirrors, carbbon everywhere and alot more details going on). I love her!
Had a 2012. Was a great bike for all the same reasons you mentioned. A few negatives were the plastic fuel tank can swell if you have to use ethanol fuel, the clutch was heavy, it had a slow turn into corners, and the dash was too basic. I sold it for an 1199 Panigale and definitely miss it's comfort and lower running costs.
I absolutely love my 848 Streetfighter and can't think of anything I'd trade it for!

+Nick “Duke Rattley” Cole Good to hear. I am thinking about getting one tomorrow and it is a 2012 :) Do you still have and love yours? Thank you

Mine is a 2012, I've had it just over 3 years now (it was the dealer's demonstrator and came with R&G protection all over) and I still love it! The first time I took it for a test ride, the weather was atrocious, but the bike was stable. That said, it has (in my opinion) plenty of character & I've never been disappointed riding it, or looking at it. I still don't want to trade it for anything... Hope this helps. Ride safe!

Yes, it does help. Thank you for the quick reply. I'm exited. I just sold my Daytona 675R and I'm looking for something with torque more up right.

i love mine but its very uncomfortable to ride. idk why this guy says its comfortable
The mirrors look pretty good, I like these little mirrors better than the long ones like on the z1000
Nice bike ! Planning on getting 1 soon . One question , what is the comfortable speed on the bike ?
Hey Jamie. Thank you for all this great videos during all this years! I want to ask you about the SF848. Although many years passed since this video, can you give me some feedback on how it’ll be with a pillion. I’m currently on a 2005 Ducati 999 and I’m looking for something a bit more comfortable that can make at least a 15-30 minutes ride through town with my wife. Thanks in advance!
Best thing I have seen in my life
Am I the only person that misses analog gauges. The new digital displays aren't appealing to me.

No you are not. I think analog gauges are a lot easier to read than digital gauges. I miss them too.
Nice review. You need to get your hands on the s1000r.
I don't think I've ever heard you mention a bikes negatives in any review so far.

A couple of years ago, I REALLY wanted this bike to work for me. It didn't, the ergo's just made it annoying, and quite uncomfortable, especially on my wrists. As I said, I wanted this bike so much, but in the end I went for a fully tricked out Street Triple R complete with quickshifter and Arrows. I hope the new 899 version is an improvement.
I'm 90 percent there with buying this bike...but I worry about reliability? I've seen one for £6500 with 22K on the clock 2014 plate. advise please.
Very nice bike Very nice review :)
hoping for a Streetfighter 899 now
Please review a Ducati monster 796 XD
The only thing keeping me from considering a Ducati as my next bike is that I do all of my own maintenance, including valve adjustments, and on a Ducati that's a no go.
@unit764

agreed, I'd get a used ducati first to practice getting it right before I bought one new. The reall annoyance is how often they need their valve adjustments, these bikes do not really agree with daily riding needs. You'd be hard pressed for a better weekend bike though.

You also need special tools which cost $$ and thats no fun. Totally takes the joy out of turning your own wrench.

+Motorcycle Extremist Do you really want to spend the rest of your life not knowing what it's like? I had to have one (1996 M750) It was worth the valve adjustment... I'd do it again. Some things in life are worth getting out of your comfort zone, a Ducati is one of those things.

phatsmitty I believe you. I got to ride one once and it was for lack of a better term "intoxicating and addictive" to be honest. I simply do not posses the time or resources for it.
I own a black streetfighter 848, the foot pegs aren't grippy, your feet will slip, you need a special 'C' spanner to adjust the chain that does not come with the bike, but it really puts a smile on my face every time I ride it
It's okay to grab a used streetfighter ? What about the part's? Can i get it from the dealer easily? Cuz... This bike has stop its production.... That's what concern me alot
Thank goodness the mirrors work!
Hey would you track this bike? Thanks
Why are license plate so far back on motorcycles now a days anyways? like I know the lights have to be 30mm apart but why cant they at least make them same as fender eliminator kit just wider apart?
Loving the bike, loving the guy's accent.
i stopped riding a couple years.. ago.. business was slow had to sold my r1 and my 1198.. but now.. looks like things are going my way again.. im shopping for a superbike again.. kinda interested on this.. is there 2015 version of this.? does it also come in yellow?

would love to ride that. What a beautiful bike she is
what purpose does the fluid reservoir on the left side of the handle serve? left is from the driver's perspective.
@brettsheldrick1877

It's the reservoir for the hydraulic clutch
Review without pointing any weaknesses or negatives of the bike, it's an advertisement not a review. Jamie you should really say something more about the bike that what the Ducati's marketing department has to say.

how tall are you Jamie?
How tall are you?
yes right that's amazing bike. if i have enough money I want this, sure it's perfect performance bike
why is the clutch so stiff in most bikes??????
I've had just bought one like this last month, black color, 2013 model because we don't have 2014 here in Brazil. The bike is funny and strong a lot. My last one was a yamaha FZ6N, good bike too. Unfortunatelly the price for us is about $ 25000,00... But I'm happy.. Is a Ducati...

Você recomenda a compra de uma destas?! Estou deolho em uma..... preciso de seu review pessoal sobre a streetfighter...
My bf owns one of these and he wants to take me for a ride with him, so I was wondering how comfortable and safe is the passengers seat? the only other motorcycle I rode was a Honda cb500f and its seat is kinda different from this one.

My next bike !
No ABS at all?
This street fighter has gowned on me a lot the more i google it. I took my car this year. Bought a new 821 monster that i like a lot. But to bad I was a little "late" I would have loved to buy a new Street fighter instead if it was possible.
I love streetfighter 848
It just hurts me that the bottom radiator is gonna look like crap after a few years unless you invest in a radiator mesh or guard

doodskie999 radiator guards are very wise, one of the first aftermarket part I bought. Absolutely love this bike, it will go farther into the corner than your courage.
I hear the clutch pull is hard. Thoughts?

Not that I noticed. The current generation of hydraulic wet clutches on Ducati bikes are very good. Certainly better than their old dry clutch predecessors and the last cable wet clutch that I used (RSV4). Clutch was a bit heavy on my old 848 Evo, but that wasn't helped by the low clip-ons putting pressure on your wrists. The bar position on the Streetfighter gives you better leverage.
@Beneldor

Yes, the clutch is very stiff. Your left hand will be in serious pain if you get caught in bumper to bumper traffic. They market this as a streetbike but if you plan on being stuck in traffic a lot, dont get it. It's a great motorcycle but not a good bike if you plan on commuting a lot with the risk of stop and go traffic. the street triple is a much better option for that. However, if you want to hit the twisties, i personally think this bike is far superior with it's riding position and torque. just my two cents
Great looking bike. Have to say, though, that seat is like sitting on a plank of wood. Can't imagine putting hours on that thing. By contrast, the 2015 Monster seat is pure luxury.
My girlfriend looks like a Moto Guzzi but only weighs as a Ducati 848 thats why I choose the 848.
Bring on the Streetfighter 899!
Hate the new look. I'd want the 899 panigale technology in the previous generation 848 Corse Se / 848 Evo body.
👍👍
why no ABS!!!?????
If only the speedo is like the panigale and Ducati should have abs as standard for this stunning bike
It might not be really suitable for city ride...especially during heavy traffic...the engine heat is really too much
quá đẹp
why does it say "Est 1975" were you born at that time??????
so are you gonna tell me that this bike has no negative points either ? Just stop calling them "reviews" and call them "overviews"

Hi Jamie, where is YOUR Test of the Brand New Ducati Monster 1200?? Come on Ride this Thing.... But don't Drink Grappa :-)
All that money for the electronics etc and first thing is, switch them all off...
derived from the 848 evorrrrrrrrrrrrr superbike lol
looks like a bloody bajaj.
This bike just destroys your man parts, but it's still an awesome motorcycle.
Selled cause of reliability. Radiator, engine broken (4500 euro)
Grappa fail lol
Of course, another man saying that there is room on the back for the "missus." Sorry buddy, My C7 and Ducatti are for ME and if I want to I can take along the hubby. STOP this stereotyping please! Women RIDE!!
