    Hi Simon, once again a great short informative video! I was one of your subscribers that that put the Road 6s on my Multistrada V4s and registered with you the impressive transformation they made to both the bike and my confidence. Just part exchanged to the new V4s Rally, taller and heavier which leaves the Scorpions more challenged! I've kept the Road 6s which had only 350 miles on ready to install on the Rally after its first service. Will keep you all posted! Tony Mcintyre (aged 70)

    Thanks for the comment Tony, you were certainly right about the tyres. It’s a big decision sometimes for people to change because some always feel the stock tyres are the best. I’m actually looking forward to a wet ride now or even a track day again on the multistrada 👍

    Thanks for the review Simon. I replaced my scorpions with the Perelli Angels and I’m not really impressed, but based on your review of the Pilots, I’ll give them a try when I’m done with my current set (probably about 3 or 4k miles) from now. I’m at 15k miles on my V4S. Always enjoy your videos

    The comments coming through on the road 6 are all positive and I’ve got to agree. I’m sure there are other tyres that work well but these are a big improvement on the trail 2s. Thanks for the comment Chris. Ride safe 👍

    Excellent video Simon, just fitting new boots to my MS V4S, after some deliberation between Road 6 and Roadtec 01 SE I have gone for the Metzeler. Haven’t ridden on them yet as waiting on delivery of the front tyre. I had ridden 5600 miles on the Scorpian Trail II, there was still tread left but the rear was squared off and the front uneven tread, the bike was squirming and white lining over road irregularities so time to replace them, good tyre up to that point though. Can’t wait to try the Metzeler’s👍

    Thanks for the comment Al, theirs so much tyre choice around, it’s always a conscientious difficult decision. I didn’t looks at to many other choices but I’m really bad at making decisions, so it would be interesting to see what you think about yours. I did think the same about the scorpion tyres, they just didn’t give me the confidence I was hoping for. The road 6 still need to prove themselves as all tyres are good on a warm dry day. Only time will tell. Enjoy the new rubber Al 👍

    Like everything Tyres are subjective and everyone have their favourites or preferences. I had Roadtec 01’s fitted to a GTR1400 used in all weathers and they were brilliant. They had excellent Ride quality, sweet steering, and confidence inspiring whatever the conditions.

    Looking forward to you exploring the extra 15 percent in the wet lol ,my 23 v4s stays dry only and on the tarmac hopfully the right way up !,with no steering damper I'd be worried about tank slapper using sportier rubber .

    I’m surprised they don’t come with steering dampers. I’ve had wobble a couple of times. I didn’t mind a bit of wet riding but I’ve just had to replace the rear bearing due to water getting in. As soon as it rains I’m out there 😂👍

    I have the Road 6s on my Multistrada V4S the main thing i have noticed is the are a stiffer tyre than the Scorpion 2. They seem to also wear really slow after 1500 miles they still look like new.

  • @thatbikersimon

    @thatbikersimon

    Thanks for the comment Steve, there’s normally a compromise with sticking tyres and that’s generally because they wear out quicker. So it’s good to know the longevity of the tyre, as there’s a lot of power going through the rear wheel. I’m super happy with them. 🏍️💨💨💨👍

    That’s good to hear, it’s always difficult picking a tyre because theirs so much choice and we can get overwhelmed with looking and researching. I don’t think there’s any bad tyres i think it’s more personal choice. I took my multistrada v4 on track with trail tyres on and they still did the job lol
