This is the first one of many Multistrada 950 RAWs which I'll upload over the course of this year - even though I haven't even finished uploading all my 1260 Multistrada RAWs lol Oh, and here's a small correction: in the first text insert I left out a "towards". I was riding "towards" Southern Slovenia. This road actually is located in Northern/Central Slovenia. ENJOY!

I'was watching this great video in my hospital bed, without reading the description first😇. I broke my leg in riding accident last friday and thought to myself why is this road so familiar to me? It must be something else in this painkillers they are feeding me. Then I realized that in your video on 3:16 time, there is the exact spot I broke my other leg aprox. one year ago coming the other way... So both broken legs to remind me to learn to ride like you... Thanks again and keep up good work.

You always have the best raw POV videos. Unfortunately this video doesn’t do this bike justice as far as the induction sound. I’ve ridden a Multi 950 and it was one of the best sounding bikes I’ve ridden. Opening the throttle all the way was addicting.

can i know where did you install the mic to capture the sound with no wind noise? Also, amazing riding skills you got there.. I feel you have the highest level of control over the bike than other few riders Ive seen on youtube. I also noticed how you do the body weight transfer when shifting corner to corner, which is so much in line with the natural physics of the bike than the forced method which other riders do. Again, amazing skills, and God bless you :-) Looking forward to more videos

Tolles Video, tolle Straßen und vor allem toller Sound 👌 Ich bin die große Multi auch schon Probe gefahren, leider ist sie sündhaft teuer 😁 Die kleine Multi ist da schon interessanter, wie fühlt sich der 950er aus den Kehren heraus an? Geht es mit ordentlich Drehmoment zu oder braucht man ständig Drehzahl? Im Video sieht es jedenfalls sehr flott aus 😉 Beste Grüße 👍

Danke! Also für meine Ansprüche hat der L2 mehr als genug Power aus dem Keller heraus! Höchstens für den Soziusbetrieb wäre es vielleicht ein bisschen zu wenig für ambitionierte Sportfahrer. Aber für mich persönlich und solo ist die Leistung der 950er perfekt für die Straße!

The Ducati is more agile, more stable, and to me even more comfortable.

I currently have an Africa Twin and I'm really looking forward to try that bike, supposed to have some of the best, most comfortable suspensions out there...

Great sound and awesome handling! The quick-shifter definetly helps in the corners. I want a quick-shifter on my 2018 950 but nobody is making any! Thats why I want to trade it. But the dilema is go 950 S or 1260 Enduro...What do you like better on the 950 vs the 1200/1260? Also where is your mic located. There is no wind noise at all. 👍🏻

With regards to his mic, he wraps it in foam and places it in a backpack. There's a video about it floating around somewhere in his channel.

I passed my bike test just one year ago. After months of research, the 950 is my first bike. Effortless and so comfy. Best choice I made. 7k miles later, and opening that garage door is always awesome.

I rode this back to back with the 1260S. Let's talk power/sound/handling/looks: Power: In theory there is a big power difference, in practice it does not feel like that at all. The 1260S is longer geared, so you only really find that extra 50 HP when into Autobahn speeds (which isn't much fun on an upright bike like this). It also creates a problem in that you end up having to ride a 1260S in first gear much more than you'd want (second is just too long for low speeds). Essentially the 950S is 98% of the real-world pace of the 1260S at a much lower price. In fact on the 1260S you get the distinct feeling that Ducati wanted to advertise big headline numbers, but then toned the bike down with the gearing so all the middle-aged or old buyers wouldn't fall off. It doesn't feel anything as fast as a "real" 160 HP bike like a BMW S1000XR (old model), even if of course it is still very fast (and pretty mental above 100 where the 950S tapers off). Sound: I personally much prefer the sound of the 1260s, which is more deep and rumbling. Play Schaaf's 1260S clip right after this one - it's very noticeable. The 950S sounds and felt a bit bland by comparison. Perhaps the right exhaust can fix this. The 1260S would still feel more characterful down-low however (flipside is that 950S feels smoother). Handling: For normal riding, both will do just fine. Start throwing the bike around (not what most people buy a Multi for if they are honest) and the 950S is clearly more agile. However the 1260S isn't half bad either, and the fact that you have to put in some extra work perhaps makes it more exciting at normal speeds (the 950S feels like it doesn't even have to try). Go on long high-speed stretches, and the 1260S feels better. My view: Ducati engineered the 1260S to be a very stable bike, very different from the old 1200, to compete with BMW's GS. The crown of the 1200 was taken by the 950S, that is it's real successor. The 1260S is more a 'big touring' play. The 950S does have the advantage of having some theoretical offroad capability, but I just think it looks even worse (see next point) on spoked wheels. Looks: This swings it for me, I just think the 1260S looks so much better. To the untrained eye, they're the same bike, but the 1260S just looks more coherent. Zoom in and you notice the better stance on the dual 17s, the way the bodywork of the 1260S runs all the way under the seat (finish with a sweet little Italian flag), the nicer beak (paint instead of plastic), the beautiful stock exhaust, and the trellis frame which just looks much better in black (the red frame on red bodywork just clashes). It just looks properly finished and more substantial. It was a close race between these two for me. If it was a choice today, I'd actually go for the new S1000XR over either of these.

Yes. And I don't understand it to be honest. The 1260 is almost the same bike. And still the 950's suspension works SO much better. Even though the components are the same. Agility wise the 1260 is also very good. But the 950 is way more balanced and easier to ride fast

Feels weird to watch you ride on the roads that I know like the back of my hand. If you ever come here again I'll be happy to let you take my bike for a ride. And yes, can confirm, the road is awesome, except that godawful cratered trail near the ski centre. Fortunately roads this shit aren't common.
