Hey Marty, I am thinking about buying a used hypermotard. I'm looking at a 2008 1100s. It has 27000 miles. I know that these are air cooled vs. The newer liquid cooled. Is there a year that you would stay away from? Howmany miles is a bike like this good for? I guess overall would you recommend a 2008 bike for a newer rider? Not wanting to make a financial commitment of 18k just yet before I really know how I like it. Any input would be great. Thanks.

I'm 39. Raced hare scramble between 8-16. I haven't riden since then due to a wreck in my front yard that retired me from bikes... not my choice. Life took over, cars... kids... house... I've been wanting a street bike, but hate the weight of cruisers, and seating positions of sport bikes. At 5'5 125lbs, it's hard to find anything. I raced an old xr250r, so I was use to high seats. I feel like this bike would feel familiar to me. I just miss riding. I was very good back then. But I have no clue if I still know how.

Now I have the 950, and I REALLY love it
Ducati one of these days I’m gonna on one preferably for a new off the showroom floor. Truly is my dream bike.
Super helpful video. I think I just settled on the base hyper as my street and track day bike. I am about the same height as you an you sitting on bikes and talking techniques and fit is extremely helpful.

Glad it was helpful!
I have it as my primary bike and it’s amazing! Especially in my city Amsterdam . Narrow streets and corners. But also long trips to Germany or France. It’s a great bike.
Excellent review!

Hello Marty , Thanks for all these videos. A quick question I will be thankful for the answer. What does wheelie control levels mean. What will happen if I keep wheelie control at level 4 example, I think bike will do wheelie and will go up till certain inclination and not above that even if give more throttle?
Can’t wait for my 2022 rve 🙏🏼
Hey man, just came across your channel. I had a question. So can you not get the black version on the newer scrambler desert sleds? and why?
i had test ride the 950 sp and it didn't disappoint but it was so tall i couldn't even get the kick stand out lol im a bit worried if the lowered seat will help. Taking off was always on my tip toes
These are great videos Marty, really comprehensive. Good job to the camera man/woman as well. Cheers dude

No problem!
I like everything in this bike except the exhaust position...is there any option to change exhaust postion like mini exhaust
please do a similar video for multistrada. love the channel👍👍
So, with the base model and low seat option, what is the seat height? Thanks.
I wish I had you at our local Ducati dealership 💯
Can 5'4 ride this bike? Or there's a way we can lower the suspension or even the telescopic?
my hypermotard 1100 hokds in when i rev her up.. what can it most prob be?
really nice bikes.......would grab an SP model but actually like the livery of base model.....like the all red and even the side plates on the pipe if possible.....would be a second bike.....this or the husky 701......new to street bikes but raced MX, GP, dez......so these feel right at home
Is 5 feet 6 inch can manage streetfighter v4s with low power mode if is beginner ?🔥
Hello brother “ is Hypermotard 950 comfortable to ride with pillion is seat is soft ?
I just ordered a 2021 V4 SP, but wish I could pick up the RVE as a second bike.
Good video.

Can you please make a video of what kind of bike suite a individual 👍🏻
Nice summary! Can you compare the suspension feeling and behavior between the SP and the other two in terms of harshness, stability, weight transfer, ability to soak up bumps etc? Thanks!
Not to sure if it’s to late for you to read this. Could you possibly do a monster vs diavel
I just wanted to know what RVE stands for, looked everywhere online and can’t find it…
I live in Germany but I'm from 'Merca. I have a choice between a 2020 SP (new) which I can buy now, or wait until June/July for Ducati to deliver the 2021 (delayed due to Euro5). I am having a hard time to make my choice. Suggestions?

The SP is a wild ride.
Is this a dirt bike, can you ride it on the street and the expressway?
Perfect comparison! I want an SP for the fork, and a RVE for the black main frame😊 I would want to remove all red and replace with Forged Carbon parts ❤
SP ♥️
Thanks for tip on getting on a bike it you're shorter. Lol never knew. I have a ktm 690 supermoto. But maybe have one of these someday.
Thanks.

Hermosas 😍
Love my sp!!!!
Can you get a sump guard for it?
Good first beginners bike? It looks so cool. I drove (rent) before the mt09, which has a lot of torque and I really like how it feels, better than the mt07 for me. Drove also few other bikes. So it will be the mt 09 or the hypermotard..

Seat height may be high for a beginner especially if you are not the tallest person.
One 950 RVE has arrived in Australia (the other 14 of 15 total should arrive in January) and the lucky 1st owner says that there is no numbered inspection plate. That sucks! I've asked my dealer to ask Ducati Australia to supply them. Hopefully Ducati will do the right thing and supply them.

@@newtrap5366 That's good to know. There is hope yet that we will get badges then. The dealer called me today to say my RVE is only a few days away. Yee haa!
In your opinion is the SP worth the extra money if not tracking it? Thx for the great reviews. 🤙🏼💯

VERY subjective answer ... yes. If you like the looks, handling, upgraded components then the SP is totally worth it.

Probably if its ur first real street bike
RVE seat and wheel in SP edition, would be cool
in 2019 i tested the sp version and the front suspension was sticky while the cheaper one felt better. i never understood that.

🤔 🤷🏻♂️
Can anyone tell me the background music
if there is gonna be a hypermotard v4, im buying it.
The lowered seat was a must have for me, lol
Way to lay it out there Marty!
Bonjour ams ducati Dallas merci de me faire voir votre vidéo sur les motos il son jolie les motos je suis francaise merci beaucoup
