@O Pai_fpv We toured in a bus we bought from the GA national guard. One of those huge ass 44 seat school buses but it was painted light blue and had tinted windows lol. First rule, no chicks on the bus. A brilliant rule. Nobody wants to deal with a band member's gf or some drunk chick in the only place you can chill. Let alone be present at a band meeting of any kind. Let alone critique the production. We would have given so much crap to the douche band-member who brought her along and then bounced her ass lol.

The Zodiac designs are just great. This is a band that is already regressing, so she introduces a dorky 1970s idea in a 1980s band. Great touch.

It was a callback to the Led Zeppelin 1971 album Led Zeppelin 4 or "Zoso", which had a lot of occult symbolism and artwork. By 1982-83, it was all a bit hackneyed.

I just love how David gets so frustrated and irritated when Ian refers to the idea as “animals.” “They’re signs of the zodiac!”

1:07 - 1:30 Fantastic acting by Christopher Guest. Nigel's reaction was so convincing as he watched and listened, at a loss for words initially.

What i love about this part so much is it gives the actors a chance to laugh, something they are trying *not to do* in so many other scenes!!

Exactly. It makes the film so much more real. And it's a rare moment of relative levity within the band just before things *really* take a turn for the worse.

One of my permanent quips for life , " Is this a joke?"

Probably my favourite scene, and there are a lot great scenes in this film. It's the turning point, theyre on the the cusp, make or break. Marvelous. 'Here's your Crab face'

I was at our apartment and I guess we had free HBO in 1984, here in Cincinnati. Anyway, I came across this movie may and when Nigel said his solos are a trademark, as a musician, I cried and laughed so hard.

That's real laughter....she said it wrong for real I'm sure. This films just perfect. I love how she says to Nigel I've given you a little beard ha ha You have to watch this film time and again cause you miss bits of dialogue

A friend of mine and I would talk about movies and I would mention that the movie was in "Dolby sound". I did it one too many times and he said in exasperation "You always say that". He got fed up with me. It ended our friendship. This scene is painful to watch because I'm reminded of my own shallowness.

Can we all.just take a moment to appreciate the gorgeous Janine. . . Who was also in V btw ! Anywho . . . . I think shes mint ! X At least from an eighties viewpoint

@@AboveEmAllProduction I don't know, it's just a movie, to make the singer's g/f look like a dumb blonde. Dolby has developed a number of things. You're probably right about stereo. They've developed a number of multi-channel playback system's, and tape-noise reduction systems (Dolby A & B), which never really seemed to make my cassettes sound all that great back in the day.
