Day 5! the days are flying by! Today we decided to drive over to Abu Dhabi - roughly 75-90 minute drive from Dubai (depending on traffic and exact location).
Our first stop by straight to the Sheikh Zayed Grand Mosque in Abu Dhabi. While the attraction is free (especially if youre going to go here to pray), yo9u do need to check in and have tickets (QR code is provided for entry). Depending on how busy the mosque is, your queued time may vary (it may not be available to enter right away!). So plan ahead, purchase your reservations/entry in advance to avoid any issues. Parking is also free!
You enter from the glass dome area and everything is connected underground.. you enter thru a mall/food court where you can hang out and shop around. No clothing restrictions to my knowledge here... however, once you enter the mosque, you must abide by the mosque rules (they go over all of this during your online check-in).. they will deny entry if questionable.
expect to spend about 2 hours here from start to finish.
from here, we went to a Pakistani restaurant (nothing fancy), Kabab -jan .. the food did not disappoint! if you enjoy Pakistani cuisine and are in Abu Dhabi, definitely give this place a go!
We ended up our night by visiting the Emirates Palace (also free to enter). this is a hotel, so majority of the area if blocked off .. they'll make exceptions for you to enter certain areas if you're going to any of the restaurants or dessert shops!
