He basically dry-snitched on himself, plain and simple. He acted and dressed too loudly on the gram. Kinda reminds me of Denzel Washington's character in American Gangster...he was a hustler, but he operated quietly and dressed moderately to avoid unwanted attention...until one night he decided to wear an expensive fur coat to a boxing match and in one fell swoop, painted a target on himself for FBI agents to investigate his wealth and empire coz they were curious who this unknown person was dressing so flashy in public.

Calm done! U think a black man would live in foreign country with that much money & the local officials not suspect anything? United Arab Emirates have known for years that he was into fraud, but he made sure never to do fraud in their country as that was his chosen safe place & with that Dubai, urned a blind eye cos he was making them rich! Imagine amount of money he brought in to buy all those sports cars! Then, he never owned a home in Dubai, have lived in hotels for 10 yrs & he most likely gave many people cash to strengthen relationships! Dubai police only acted when USA FBI put pressure on them! So if your govt people have enough money to pay for their freedom, don't count on Dubai police! Only USA, Canada, UK & other Western countries police wont be bribed!

@@Angel.Kariba You are incorrect on several counts. Dubai (UAE) doesn't need Hushpuppi to make them rich; they're one of the richest nations per capita in the world. He also didn't live in Dubai for 10 years; he was barely there for 2-3 years . He previously lived in Malaysia where he ran into some immigration issues, and had to relocate to Dubai. He was actually leasing a luxury apartment in the Dubai Versace Palace (not living in a hotel), and the FBI has copies of the apartment lease. Dubai laws are actually quite strict, and there is no way he could live there for 10 years without scrutiny.
