The best dub techno channel on youtube, there are no better quality compilations anywhere, you really notice how much time was put into it and it's not just random tracks, and the community is great too

I didn't think you would take that literally. I mean, the basis should be techno, not ambient. And if I turn the bassline on and "blow" into the mic, that doesn't make it dubtechno! And as for purity - I think everyone defines it for themselves.

@@JohnDoe-oe6ze no you dont offend me, my english isnt good, maybe i offend you, idk ^^ but this stuff is really original dub techno stuff from echospace detroid, they invent the genre. dub techno is a lot about noise and pure hardware tunes imo. the session is called gray because gray is the whole color spectrum in the same ammount of energy, like noise is the same energy level in the spectrum.

@@DubElementMusic I'm going to disappoint you a bit :) It's very funny that you consider echospace detroid as an ancestor, as the first "famous" dubtechno on vinyl was released in 1992 (The Diceman - Supervisor Error), and only in 1993 it became more similar to what they do now, and one of the ancestors of dubtechno is considered the duo "Basic Channel" - Moritz von Oswald and Mark Ernestus. What a daring proposition, how exquisitely revolutionary... Well, except to say it defies both convention and science: E.g. in additive color synthesis, grey is an equal mix of red, green and blue. What's more colorful than that?

idk, you are kinda right. gray is basically the whole color spectrum, and noise is also the same ammount of energy through the frequency range, this stuff is very noisy and rare hardware material and basically the essence of dub techno from detroid, this why the set is called gray. but i also never say`d it is a color, the people just expect it to be a color because there was blue and green before... sorry my english is not good .... :)
