Loved the video @Altamir De Marz! Can't wait for the next video man! Interesting thing about Soryu and Hiryu was that Soryu was the Basis for Hiryu's Design, though Hiryu was Built with an Armored Flight Deck. This Design would later Culminate with the Hiyo-class Light Aircraft Carriers and the Shokaku-class Aircraft Carriers to bring Taiho into Service, Albeit rather Limited since she was Sunk by 4 out of a Spread of 6 Torpedoes from USS Albacore at the Battle of the Philippine Sea in the Mid-afternoon Hours. All thanks to the Crew Thinking they could vent the Methane and Aviation Gasoline Fumes out of the Ship by opening every single Vent, Porthole and Hatch alike whilst planking over her Forward Aircraft Elevator which was Stuck halfway Between the Flight and upper Hangar Decks.

Meanwhile in my fanfic, Hiryu takes a role similar to Nero. She's the Deadweight. First thing to know, Riggings don't exist on a baseline. A Rigging must be unlocked by each shipgirl in a manner similar to a Stand in JJBA, or a Devil Trigger in DMC. The second thing is that a Ship and it's soul, which is what becomes a Shipgirl. Their worth is that they conserve manpower, since the Shipgirl can directly controll the ship she is. That known, here's what to know about Hiryu. After Kaga being captured, Akagi has to mentor the rest of the carriers, which is something she's completely incapable of. Kaga was always relatively cold to everyone, and Akagi straight up a bad mentor due to her self-centered personality, and at Wake Island, calls Hiryu Deadweight. (Wake island is Kaga's first battle after her repairs and under the RHN Banner, she helps Yorktown fight Akagi, Hiryu and Soryu. The battle ends without much damage, with an American victory. This also marks the point where Japan needs to reconsider things, knowing that Kaga is still alive, altough at this point she's still believed to be an American Ship) Hiryu gets more and more frustrated as things go on. She starts to get more friendly with Zuikaku, since she also misses Kaga. As all the fleet carriers are getting away from Akagi, that also affects her, getting lonely. Amagi, who was failed to be scrapped, and hastely repaired, reactivated, and finished as a Battlecruiser, quickly tries to fix this issue, while Kaga just starts to enjoy her new position and especially that Akagi is nowhere. And then in 1942, June 4th they meet once again. And the RHN is perfecting their capturing methods this time. The Battle of Midway starts out, Kaga helps Yorktown sink Soryu. Instead of scuttling, Avengers from Kaga deal heavy torpedo damage to Soryu, and that leaves Hiryu without her sister. Akagi and Kaga are at it again, and despite the presence of Amagi, Kaga straight up tells Akagi how utterly she hates her, before a brutal one on one folds out between the two. Despite suffering multiple hits from the protecting Amagi's cannons, Kaga successfully deals with Akagi, leaving her burning down. Akagi is left burning. Amagi decides to escort Hiryu out of the battle, but Enterprise and Hornet Incapacitate her propulsion and controll, her crew abandones ship (crews usually deal with repairs and planes, and other such, if there is a Shipgirl in controll), Leaving Amagi to her fate. Hiryu decides to have her revenge. and launches more planes as she steers away to retreat, blinded by anger, she attacks both Kaga and Yorktown, but this isn't enough to take any one of them out. Her planes can't return though, and Enterprise successfully cripples her enough that Kaga could catch up to her. This is the point the USN decides this is a victory and turn back towards base. Kaga is...different....and she's in the RHN. Kaga takes this fight from Ship to Ship to Shipgirl to Shipgirl. Kaga uses the Ship Sword Kaga (First) to severely cut Hiryu's right arm. This fight lets her steer herself next to Hiryu, and shoot directly into her boilers. The IJN had no time to waste, and left there 3 ships.....they will be sunk anyways....right? And then all three were towed away quickly. Akagi to Pearl Harbor, Amagi was towed to San Diego, where she was left docked, but no work was done on her, while Hiryu was towed to Australia, where she was repaired in a few months. In 1942 September, Kaga and Hiryu, along with some American Escorts, passed the Panama to deal with Germany and Italy, and secure the Hungarian coastline, leaving a new passage to support the Hungarian Regency, other than the sketchy Soviet import, that has became increasingly difficult, due to Germany invading. Hiryu is similar to Nero in a lot of ways, not just because she has her right hand injured and plastered, but also in that she's emotional. Hiryu has hard feelings for Kaga, but she slowly starts to accept it, and forms a strong bond with Kaga. She learns that she's right the way she is, and she doesn't need to be feminine at all, but most importantly, learns important fighting lessons from Kaga. She also has to become a good mentor to Szent István and Szent László, the first domestic carriers of the RHN, (They are refits of failed battleship prototypes, and a lot of their design was adopted from Hiryu's design.) After the comical capture of all 3 Yamato Class Ships, Hiryu finds a friend in Shinano. They are both lonely, as they don't fit in a neat little class in the Navy, which is also true for Akagi and Kaga, but that's in short, Akagi having to learn to change in the hard way. No more touching Kaga in weird places....or for that matter, no touching Kaga at all. Kaga quickly asserts her dominance over Akagi after she is repaired. Then again, further when Kaga is heavily refitted in 1946 with an angeled flight deck, heavier secondary armament, a 350mm armor belt, and Diesel Engines. (She was perfect from 1936, but 10 years later she needs a little touch-up to match with new carriers) An upgrade that Akagi never gets. Kaga gets me to run to, Akagi runs to Amagi, Yamato runs to Musashi, and vice versa, but Hiryu has nobody to run to, so she and Shinano become much better friends. Hiryu's charachter develops a lot more in the Fight against the Siren Threat after the War, and she also develops her rigging, and suprisingly she unlocks a longsword for her Ship Sword, similarly to Enterprise, but Enterprise is a different story. (In short, Enterprise despises of Kaga for enjoying wars, but she also realises that she also enjoys fighting) Hiryu proves to be important in this war against the Sirens. This is her true redemption Arc.
