Here after watching Godzilla Minus One in theaters. One of my favorite scenes from that movie was watching Godzilla battle against Takao, after which he completely wiped the floor with the heavy cruiser. It didn't last very long but it was still an impactful moment to me, and is quite possibly one of my favorite movie naval battles of all time. I hope someone writes a fanfic crossover story between Azur Lane and Godzilla Minus One because I would love to see how a story like that would play out.

As a fan of the Shipfu genre (Kancolle and Azur Lane mostly) I was happy to see the vessels onscreen and was captivated by the quality of the models.

@@acumennova3929 lately I've been obsessed with the idea of a story where shipgirls fought against Godzilla. Not like what you might see in a light-hearted anime, or a typical monster v monster brawl. Instead I'm talking about the kind of horror story reminiscent of Godzilla Minus One, but with shipgirls. The kind of story that involves drama and epic fights against Godzilla that involve major character deaths. I've also been obsessed with the idea of Enterprise and Godzilla fighting each other. Godzilla being my favorite movie monster, and Enterprise Being my favorite shipfu. Of course there's a lot more to it than just: "oh I wanted to see these two fight each other because I thought it would be really cool". There would definitely be a lot of plot and character development involved as well, especially on Enterprise's part. I won't spoil anything here but I will say that I'm working on a little fanfic project that I'm hoping will help me realize that vision. In the meantime I'd suggest checking out: Mighty Eagle, Calm Nest by Salvo519. It's by far my most favorite Azur Lane fanfic and makes for a compelling love story. In case you were wondering why I'm recommending this fanfic (if you weren't already wondering why I've been talking about everything else mentioned before hand), it's because that fanfic is what inspired me to come up with this story in the first place. Also I think it's only fair that my Godzilla would be bigger, stronger, and more unique compared to his Minus One counterpart considering how easily beaten he was in that movie (not that I'm complaining because Godzilla Minus One is awesome). Also I'm just now realizing the irony after reviewing my comment from 6 months ago. Of course I doubt that I'm the first one to try, but I am glad to see how much I've stepped up since making that first comment. If you're interested, I'd like to hear what sort of tips you might have. Of course I will accept any feedback you have as well, though at the moment: my little project is just a concept. Also don't worry about Takao. I haven't forgotten about her or the other Sakura warships.

@@FistoftheUmbralStar-1.0 Damn bro, you're quite passionate about this idea you've got. Considering the lack of any Godzilla-Azur fics that I can find at least, looks like you have your potential niche! As for the story you recommended...I almost balked at seeing that 500k+ word count and not even 50 favs yet. I've been a fan of Azur Lane for like 6 years and never knew this one existed. I personally don't think you even need to buff Godzilla that much, he regenerated from conventional weapons so fast that it took a really creative method to do any real harm to him and if I remember correctly it's implied he survived. Shipfu's are indeed quite powerful compared to humans, but since Godzilla tossed Takao around like a wet paper bag it's safe to assume that just because they have the power of a warship concentrated in a form as small as a human doesn't mean that they'd stand much of a chance. Especially when he dives underwater. Don't even get me started on what his atomic breath would do to them. Which gives me an idea, maybe have a scene where an entire carrier's compliment of aircraft are just destroyed during their attack run and have that be the atomic breath reveal. Overall, I hope you can keep me updated on this. I'm quite forgetful (took me 2 days to reply despite seeing your comment within the hour).

@@acumennova3929 you have my thanks. I'll think about what you suggested with the attack run on Godzilla. I'll try to keep you updated when I can. In the meantime: feel free to give that fanfic a read sometime if you ever get the chance. I would like to hear your opinion about it. Also a couple of things you should know about my little project: despite my passionate speech earlier, I'm somewhat new to the fanfic community. It's because I was surprised (and a little indignant) at the lack of Godzilla-Azur fanfics that I felt like I had to step up. Knowing how much of a mountain this will be to climb I intend to take my time with it, so I wouldn't expect any real progress for a while. In the meantime here's a couple of questions I would like to ask: How would you imagine a fusion between Shin Godzilla and Minus One Godzilla; what kind of creature would that be like? How much do you know about wisdom cubes? Could radiation exposure have some type of effect on them? Particularly from nuclear explosions? There doesn't seem to be anything mentioned in the lore, but I would like to get your opinion. Regrettably I'm not an Azur Lane veteran like you are which is why I wanted to ask.
