I like the connection they make between Hornet and Northampton. When Hornet was crippled during the Battle of Santa Cruz, Northampton stepped up to try and tow Hornet out of danger. Japanese torpedos finally killed Hornet, but she died hard before going down.

Here's hoping for season 2 with Essex and her sisters....along with a upgraded Yorktown and Hornet in tow.

Am I the only one who notices Hornet only ever directly talks to her sister(Enterprise)in this show is 0:55!!! Otherwise, Hornet never talks her elder sister in this season period!

Mostly because even the smallest naval artillery or bombs and torpedoes aren’t really meant to shoot at something the size of a human.

So even though I'm form Wisconsin I don't think I have a handle how how our state is stereotyped by the rest of the country or even by ourselves since I've mostly just been in one part of it. The Hornet's commander during WW2 was a famous Wisocnite, so I'm wondering if that could be seen as an influence on anything about how the Hornet was Waifuified.
