Thanks for your clarification on this issue Sahil! Would love to hear your thoughts on a variation of this scenario: What if someone already has a Visitor Visa and currently has their PR application is processed? Can they travel to Canada and wait for the PR there? ( obviously assuming they will get it within six months which is the stipulated duration for which a person can stay in Canada on the Visitor Visa) . Or is it mandatory to leave the country and do the first landing formalities to become a PR holder if the application is approved?

Yes it's possible to wait inside Canada while pr is processed. Later, the passport request can be managed through flagpole formalities. Provided Covid doesn't kill the plan

@@rachuridharmaraju1983 If she already has a visa stamped in her passport- she can definitely travel, to my knowledge. Inland Sponsorship issue is a little tricky since it depends if you have/had declared her as a dependent in your application or not. Talking to Sahil about it shall provide you some clarity about it.

My partner has submitted a spousal sponsorship PR application, and already has a multi entry TRV. He was in Canada when we applied but we had to return to his home. For his re-entry will the entry requirement remain to prove his dual intent in applying and confirming that he would return to his home country before his 6 months are up, the same as any new applicant? In our case, we would be hoping to return to his home country more than 6 months after arrival (we were hoping for about 8 months in Canada). But we can still change plans if it's the difference between him getting his PR or not.

Facts: Both the parents are PRs - father is residing in Canada, and mother is currently residing in home country with the baby, since delivery of the baby done in home country. Concern: Need the fastest and most reliable way of bringing the baby to Canada and live together as a family. Hi Sahil, I’m thinking to apply for student visa. I have applied for my Express Entry(E E) profile and it has yet not been picked up from the pool. So my question is that will there be any conflict of interest when I’m applying for student visa when I’ve already applied for EE profile? My file has not been picked up…it’s just in the pool. I submitted my visa application with active express entry profile. Make sure to create a strong SOP and don't mention about any intent to stay back in Canada. Also explain why you're bonds back in India is strong and you need to go back.

I really don't get the point of having this TRV. I mean the people who already have applied for PR why are they delaying their processing and not working on their files and now they are saying people can apply for dual visa who already applied for PR. Think about it! is it not gonna take more time if someone applies now for TRV i mean the officer will have to go through everything from the beginning instead why not just speed up the work who's files are already in process and make a decision. I seriously don't get the point of having this TRV. And one more thing "spouse are not ment to visit each other they are sopoused to live together that's why they get married".

Spousal Sponsorship can take 1-2 years whereas a TRV can take as low 2-3 months. Now, Covid is delaying both the processes. So people may still choose to apply for both and live together for whatever time they can

Hi Sahil, I have my Pr in the process. My present status is medical passed second time due to covid my application has been delayed. I study in Canada and worked in Canada as well in the past. 2013 to 2017 I was in Canada. 2019 I applied for Canadian PR. Next month one of my close friends is getting married and I would really want to be there with her on that special occasion. So after a pretty long wait, I wanted to go apply for a Visit visa just to make sure I can attend her wedding if I have to prove the offer should I write a letter stating that "I would really love to be there for her wedding". Because you see, I have been patient since my application I never thought of applying to visit until a special occasion has arrived and what category will I have to mention in case I can apply. Is the fixed deposit which I submitted would that be enough to show for the visit visa which I have put proof for my pr as well? can I prove them by buying the flight ticket to and fro but if i should, on what date should I even think of buying it, my friend's wedding is on Nov 26Th 2021
