@@AustralianMapper2024 Yes and no. On a road trip, my dad said, "Did you know those hills are where the Windows wallpaper was taken?" And they look nothing like in the wallpaper. (it had a fence.)

Seeing Windows XP run on an iMac is so surreal

Typically installing a newer windows operating system on older hardware would mean windows has various drivers that are compatible with that hardware and it would just work. Windows XP has a different driver architecture to Windows Vista and earlier so it would need a different set of drivers. Boot Camp assistant can automatically download the drivers you need for Windows 7, but getting drivers for Windows XP automatically is much more difficult. Everything was based on having the installer CD and Apple dropped support for installing windows XP in the middle of snow leopards run. There is an application called brigadier which can help with downloading the drivers you need for Windows 7 and newer, operating systems for your specific Mac, it’s a Windows CMD application. For Windows XP complete driver support, you will need to hunt for those specifically if it was ever truly supported for your specific Mac, or use utility like snappy driver installer which might include whatever is necessary in its database.
