I think every single bike related how-to query I’ve searched for, you’ve made a video on it.

Man is there anything you haven't done! What a channel! Essential place this for anyone looking to perform almost any maintenance or upgrades to their bike. Probably the only channel you need for bike maintenance! Thank you for taking the time to provide these videos, how did we manage before :-)

Thanks! This is great timing for me. last week after a long ride I was cleaning 🧽 my bike. I was cleaning my freewheel upside down as not to get water in the freehub. When finished I gave the wheel wack with the palm of my hand and it dislodged the free-hub and freewheel assembly revealing the paws. My first Bontrager /DT Swiss wheel set. This takes the mystery out of what happened. I found your Chanel while searching for Ultegra r8000 front derailiur information. I’ve been out of biking for sometime and that video got me up to speed quickly. Subscribed that day and have been watching since. Cheers and blessings

Excellent video. Can you do this exercise in reverse? I want to remove a SRAM XDR from a Giant CXR 1 wheel and replace it with a Shimano 11 spd

Upon reflection the only thing that I can conclude is that end caps for XD are longer than EC’s for XDR. So a wheel intended to mount into open 135 mm OLD dropouts has shorter QR EC’s for the XDR driver than the XD driver. To be exact, these QR EC’s would be 0.9 mm shorter for XDR than for XD. If not, the OLD on XDR would stretch to the aforementioned 136.8 mm with identical QR EC’s. Does that make sense? TIA for any further insight.

Excellent video! After converting freehub body from Shimano to SRAM XDR for a 12 speed cassette (SRAM FORCE), the chain is now rubbing dropout. How do I fix it please? I don’t know what type of spacer is required and where…I appreciate your help

I’m trying to put XDR free hub onto my 2014 Kysirium elites. I think the hubs might be too old for 12 speed conversion. Do u agree?

Thanks for these clarifications on different drivers. In your other video comparing XD vs XDR drivers you highlight how the latter is 1.8 mm longer to provide the space for the extra 12th cog road/gravel cassettes compared to the XD MTB standard originally designed for 11 cogs. A couple of things puzzle me. Given the extra 1.8 mm length of the XDR driver along with its end caps (QR shown in your video) wouldn’t the wheel go from a 135 mm OLD for XD to 136.8 mm OLD on XDR? This is what your spirit level seems to indicate assuming the two drivers seat at the same level in the hub. My next question concerns end caps (EC). DT make 10x135 EC for their RWS through bolt (TB) designed to be used on MTB with their XD driver. Now, SRAM (and e-thirteen) also make (presumably narrower) MTB 12 speed cassettes that mount on XD drivers. This means that on a classic open dropout 10x135 MTB frame one can use the RWS TB for extra security when running disc brakes. My question is why these same EC’s cannot, as I understand it, be used with an XDR driver wheel in the same 10x135 mm dropout of the MTB? Actually, what I want to do is adapt some GR1600 wheels (350 hub) with an XDR driver and 12 speed gravel cassette to use the RWS TB, again, for extra security compared to QR skewers. If the wheel can be adapted from 12x142 TA EC to 10x135 QR EC, I fail to se why it can’t be adapted to 10x135 TB EC. The former TA EC’s are dropping the OLD by 7 mm, wouldn’t the latter TB EC’s do the same?
