The DS18 6X9 is more clearer... I'd choose the DS18 over the Infinity Kaapa...

Good job sir. I believe if you place the mic abit far, maybe around 3 meter, or you lower down abit the song volume, maybe it will capture more nuance that can produce clearer sound for the video. Keep up the good works

The DS18 actually sounded louder from what I can hear about the infinity is what I would rather go with!! Because I know for a fact that Infinity actually has bass blockers for the tweeters but I don't know about the DS 18 having base filters for the tweeters rather have the pioneer 6X9'S over the DS18 anyway just because pioneer actually has copper voice coils and copper wiring!! I do not like speakers that do not have the copper wiring!! That's my preference for sound quality!! Thanks for the video really helpful!! Seriously thanks 👍👍👍👍

I like that you added music with vocals to your reviews. Another speaker you might want to try is the polk audio db 691. Would like to see how it compares to the kappa.

Yep most asked speaker is polk an I have them with jbl club and pioneer pro soon ill upload them

The infinity sound louder because is a 2ohm speaker and the ds is a 4 ohm remember the amp changes power output depending on the ohms load

Ds18 has better vocal clarity. The h&k drowns out when bass hits. Which just imo if youre looking for bass it should be done with an actual subwoofer not mid range.

there is a dufference between sizes but the DS18 will do verry well with a sub he s sounding so good for the price

I'm sure in person the Kappa sounds better, but through the microphone and KZread the ds18 sounds clearer.

Hello, i'm been watching your videos you are doing really good! And wondering if u can give me an advice ^^ i'm driving a e39 sedan and tried quite a lot to have a good quality sound but still want go more and don't have any ideas. I want something like bmw f10 sound with an logic 7 without a sub with a big box. Ofc it can be but i want just deep bass from it with no chatter and courting sound. I tried 10" with a box and 2pairs of 8" on port less and ported box with good liters and all but still nothing i would admire... The main thing is the sub with a box have specific sound i don't like that cranking and boxing it feels like you hear nothing apart that sub goes wild... And I'm thinking to have a dsp or something to boost my signal output I'm using apple music and my btr 30 pro is outputting 3vrms. But I'm thinking if it makes any difference. Ofc i can use the apple inside eq to make a changes... In front everything is fine but i want a little more bass i have using the 2x speekers 7103BS EVR 7x10 70rms the heaviest i found. I like the bass of it but i need to change it to something better but don't see anything in a market... And don't want to have big subwoofer inside my trunk of its sound. Those ellipses is easy to drive they have a soft bass of sound. I want something similar but more powerful.. I have: Media device: fiio btr 30 pro (from phone Bluetooth straight to amp) Amp: Helix m four Front door: Focals 165 as + four tweeters (installed an adapter from standard 5" to 6,5") Back: 2x ellipses 7103BS EVR 7x10 in the back cut the holes true the trunk on sedan back window (on low pass filter) Any advice? Thanks! P.s my ellipses are not in the boxes they just using space of the trunk like a box for it. I don't know if it would change. But i would like to have more feel of bass like shakiness in the front seat

The Infinity speaker sounds much more natural because of the cone material and the better crossover. The DS18 doesn't have a low pass crossover for the woofer so it puts out poor quality treble in addition to the tweeter treble

This is a silly test.... You're using the Gen Series which is just above entry level DS18. The speaker you're comparing it to is equivalent to DS18 PRO Series which still isn't their highest level..... Silly....

DS doesnt make anything. THey just have contracts with Chinese Manauf and have them slap their name and logo on it.

DS seems more clear. The other sounds like it's echoing in a can or something lol plus, they're ohmed out differently, so they'll pull more power from the amp at 2ohms. Probably why it sounds louder to you. Remember, ohms is resistance. Less resistance, the more power can flow through it. People are asking why are you comparing such a cheap speaker to the high end? Why not? Look how good it does haha People really shouldn't depend on these mid range speakers for bass anyway. I wouldn't go below 100hz, or even 120hz in my system, and not over half the wattage rms (maybe around 60w). . Rely on your subwoofer for bass. That's what they're there for ha

For the gs18 it is because have more bass than the other ones..

So the infinity is really a 2ohm speaker?...I have a Lincoln with the thx system in it and it has 2 2ohm subwoofers in the rear deck I'm thinking the infinity would be perfect replacements especially because of the low ohm impedance .... anyone have suggestions!?

If U using as a Subwoofer I don't think its good idea, better get some 6x9 subwoofer speaker

Only infinity kappa and perfect series are 2ohm I believe. There are other brands that make 2 ohm speakers for factory replacements

@@LIFEINSPEED only 6x9 sub I see are made by cdt and there 4ohm and are less sensitive than the infinitys .....i was trying to match the 2ohm and the infinty looked best for me and has good bass....

You can run 4 ohm in parallel wiring down to 2 ohm final impedance.

I just seen your post you're EXACTLY right.... He's comparing GEN series to what he should be comparing to PRO series which would run circles around them and that's not even their top series.... SMH....

Not fair at all the kappas are 2 ohm while the ds18 are at 4 ohm that ds18 gen x will keep up with it any day try the EXL 6x9 thare in the same price range as the kappas

tony jackson I love the ds18 I have a set of 6\9s n 5.25

If theyre both wired to one channel then you have changed the ohms. If in parallel theyre 1.5 ohm and in series they'd be 6 ohm

Vega let's you hear all instruments the other is screaming

Playing any speakers with the same input power will always favor the lower ohm draw as it will be louder. These speakers are not in the same category,other than being 6x9. I miss the old pioneer 2 ways. 3 way speakers are a joke,too damn bright.jmo
