The DS 7 is exclusive in the true sense: it's fancy and there really aren't many around. At all. Does that mean it's bad? Far from it. Shamone.

    Your videos deserve to get SOOOO many more views. You're 'like' the best car journalist/presenter that just hasn't been spotted yet by the big TV/Talent scouts. Top Gear is 'like' crying out 'like' for someone like(!) you. Keep up the brilliant work, Sir.

    After a fair bit of research I took a chance and got a DS 7 Prestige in June 2020 and it is by far the best car I have ever owned. Test drove all other cars in its class (and beyond) and nothing came close. It remains a joy to drive as the ride quality is off the charts. Very safe (5 star), economical (53 MPG) and unbelievably comfortable and relaxing. I really don't care if I get stuck in traffic anymore. Interesting fact: unlike those German brands since I have bought mine I have only seen 3 other DS 7 on the road. So people do stare and wonder which is great. Nice to see your positive review Mark because these cars indeed special.

    @@idimidodjimi6760 I am debating between a DS7 or a DS3 Crossback. Any thoughts? The DS7 I think is just a bit too big for my needs I think. These cars truly are exclusive but I am seeing more and more on the road.

    Voice of reason Mark, no normal human being buying a car really gives a to… about the ease of finding stuff in the cabin or on touchscreen, you work it out and use it. I took the plunge into the Peugeot Cit.. no I mean PSA.. nope sorry I mean Stellanwhatever group 3 years ago with a 308 GT worried about the reviewers who bemoaned the awful touchscreen and the silly steering wheel. You know what, I noticed none of it when driving. In fact it’s plusher inside then my previous A3, nicer to look at inside and out because it looks ever so slightly different etc. I’m boring myself now, you catch me drift. Nice review as always Mark! 👍🏼

    Ive just bought brand new the 1.6 Petrol Auto 225bhp price £29k, changed from a Mercedes 220d AMG C class Coupe and I have to say its worth every penny. So make sure you take a good look around before you buy, £55k is well over the top even for what is a really great car.

Now look , I'm writing this before i watched the review, and took possession of my car that should arrive next week, and I just paid for it yesterday. I do like Your funny opinions, but this would be a great thing to cross-reference them with mine after few weeks. Now on with the show.

    At first since I've tested one I couldnt agree more. Although some things differ from market to market regarding the specs , and You can still buy a manual one as an option - really don't know why You would do such a thing. Anyway mine coming is with 2.0 HDI engine, and sadly it was unavailable in that glorious color - so I'm getting a white one. Gray color is to much for me or the rest of darker ones, and I promised my self I would not ever if I can get a black car again - to much maintenance everything shows up on it, and heat inside can make Your life a misery if You like me tend to spend a lot of time going on long summer holidays and Your car tends to stay a lot in the sun. - and yes got the full-monty heated /ventilated/massage seats and rest of gizmos, And a large glove box :)

    @@idimidodjimi6760 compared to the 3008 which i know doesnt make sense as they are practically the same car. Im certainly not looking for a sports car but the DS7 I drove was brand new and juddered and shook at (legal) speed on the motorway, it also felt like a much bulkier car than the 3008 which for my personal needs would be impractical and the touchscreen wasnt as intuitive or user friendly. That said i dont think a touch screen is a good way to control the heater while moving at speed in any car but the 3008 did have the edge. Plus I didnt like the design of the interior, it reminded me of a ladies handbag but thats just my personal taste, I prefer something a bit more businesslike. The outside is stunning. At the end of the day I wasnt prepared to pay the premium price for those negative points. But as I say thats just my choice, no way suggesting people shouldnt buy it

    and You would be mistaken for not doing that. One important note is that 55k is the price for plug in hybrid with a lot of really expensive stuff in it. If You compared it to similarly specked car form Audi You would be looking at 90k. Prices start from 30 K an even at that level You are getting much more for the money - and fit and finish surpasses Audi. They really did a excellent job.

  • @idimidodjimi6760

    @idimidodjimi6760

    Let me rephrase that -- and fit and finish surpasses VW and its "premium offering" Audi ,as You are referring to DS Automobiles as a Citroen.

    @@idimidodjimi6760 It is a Citroen!!!! Just rebadged, just like Ford did with the Mercury cars. Citroens ... poor reliability, electronics nightmare, incredibly high depreciation. I also will not be put in danger trying to figure out how to adjust climate controls, radios, etc while driving at 70 mph on the motorway and especially on a busy A-road, just like Mark. Anyway £55k is complete nonsense even for a plug-in hybrid. I can buy a Hyundai EV for much less and with better quality, reliability and comfort.

  • @idimidodjimi6760

    @idimidodjimi6760

    3 жыл бұрын

    @@TL-xw6fh You poor soul. There is nothing wrong with Citroen, except same Germanic bashing of other brands when in truth they have more or same issues . And apparently You have You mind already set - as apparently You haven't watched the video , or You would see that on same points Mark actually calls it BS. Considering Hyundai on Your point i couldn't wait to get out of the one . Constant mechanical problems with engine. Electrical issues , half of the things doesn't work and break constantly , i've been to dealership at least 5 times for Airbag issues and it keeps coming back. Hyundai on other hand depreciate like a brick thrown out the window, and its not even close in comfort and fit and finish to DS, hence the price attached to it in the start. Koreans are doing progress but its not even close to any European manufacturer. I've tested DS7 Crossback and its not a half as bad as You are led to believe. Granted You do not have a button on console for everything , but its pretty much same as in Volvo -and yet they are considered the safest. And just to put my money where my mouth is I actually bought DS 7 Crossback 2 days ago as I've said in different post. DS7 is built on larger PSA platform and it is not just a rebadged car, cause there is no such car under PSA to be rebadged. So pick Your poison as You wish. Buy Hyundai EV -see where it gets You , it wouldn't get me far car charging infrastructure is non existent, and I cant be bothered to travel 1000 Km in one way which i can normally do 8-9 Hours with rests etc opposed to 2 days. Time is money . Use a bicycle if You want to commute -most reliable thing ever , no touchscreen, no A/C, 0 cost for fuel and no road tax - You can even get a PORSCHE branded one, for much less money than Hyundai.
