    Cheers for upload. If you do go for thermo fans, it would be worth filming the process of setting the tank and fitting the bolts, its where most get caught out. As you say there doesn't seem much video for it, some write ups n forums etc. I know it takes time but it would be good if you had a way of capturing it and sharing the tips for successful install. 👍

    Hey mate, cheers for the shout out all the way from the US! The T7 looks like an awesome bike, one I plan to get in years to come - but only to compliment the DRZ... doubt I'll ever sell this one! As long as you've got case savers on, the DRZ doesn't really mind being dropped hey. The safari tank seems to be pretty strong too - have had a couple of heavy offs and it's protected the radiators well. Enjoy the bike mate, and hope you stick around the channel - we should be getting back into the single tracks in the next couple of weeks!

  • @AdvHQ

    @AdvHQ

    3 жыл бұрын

    Hey John, there are some pre-load screws on the top of the forks, each side, if you find it's a bit soft you could turn it up (H) a click or two (as much as you like!), and if a bit hard, turn down (S) a click or two... after installing the tank, I turned mine up a couple of clicks. I'm only about 180lbs and find it good. When geared up with camp gear I may up it another couple - quick job on the go. Enjoy your new bike mate!

    Yeah I think you’ve sold me on one of these. Do you think it would be fair to say that because the 17 utilises the space where the plastics used to be, the overall shape and feel is roughly the same other than being slightly wider?

  • @AdvHQ

    @AdvHQ

    3 жыл бұрын

    I think the tank is slightly wider, as it is easier to grasp the tank with the knees - almost no effort required (I had to force mine in before). However, it's not huge and bulky (it pretty much just takes the space of the plastics, etc) - after 6 months it's just normal to me now.

    Hello. I'm thinking of getting this tank. Question: Do you notice if with this tank, the center of gravity feels lower? Let's say, you fill it half-way so the weight sits below the crotch as with KTMs. Do you notice a difference?

  • @AdvHQ

    @AdvHQ

    2 жыл бұрын

    In the vid I said it wasn't real noticeable but after some time I reckon it has contributed to feeling a bit heavier on the tight single tracks (I just bought an enduro style bike for this now!). On the open trails I find it's perfect. Loaded with gear (camp gear on back) I found it a bit harder to deweight the front wheel, but I plan to redo the suspension for that. The fuel would sit a bit lower and forward a bit as that's where it flares out. Still glad I got it.
