Our secretary (or nowadays called assistant manager) bought some dried mango and papaya from the market and offered me some, The papaya tasted very good and so initiated the idea that I should dry some mango and papaya myself. We had several warm days here in the Netherlands and so I bought three different types of mango and one papaya to dry them. Papaya I bought for the first time, it did not taste much when I tasted the fresh fruit, and when it was dried it tasted bad. Maybe this papaya was not ripe and not sweet.
The dried mangos were good. Dried Pakistani mango had too much flavor and was not my favorite. The other types were better. In general, these fruits are expensive here, and drying them here does not make much sense. But the dried mongo tasted better than the dry mango that I can buy in the shops.
