There are members of several bands jamming on "Banjo Blues" along with the Drunken Catfish Ramblers. There's Tuba Skinny,Loose Marbles,Yes Ma'am, and Stalebread Scottie, who also has had his own band. That's Stalebread Scottie on guitar in the center from the Drunken Catfish Ramblers and Stalebread Scottie and His Gang. The banjo player on the left is Joseph Faison. On Scottie's left is Kevin, banjo, Raychel Severance is playing washtub bass behind Scottie, and "Dizzy", washboard, are all from Yes Ma'am. Michael Magro, clarinet was from Loose Marbles. Extreme left is Shaye Cohn, playing spoons and Barnabas Jones guitar, is behind Shaye, and Ryan Baer on mandolin, all from Tuba Skinny.(Ryan's not with them anymore). That's Greg Sherman, harmonica,on Stalebread Scottie's left, from the Drunken Catfish Ramblers, now also with Tuba Skinny.

Cherrl Lynn Yes, he is, Cherrl Lynn. I love his singing style and he has an infectious way of moving/bouncing his body with the rhythm of the song. He always adds something special to any band he plays with. What really surprised me, though, is the clip of him on Treme, talking to Melissa Leo about her daughter. It was a nice bit of acting.

They got one sorta black guy in the band, (banjo), but they've certainly accomplished their gentrification of New Orleans. N.O. used to be the only large Neapolitan City where you could live poor and still do things for fun and be happy. That was the mystery & funky charm of it. I'm dubious about returning there since Katrina. Used to go for New Orleans French Quarter Festival every year, but if I go now and the magic of the old black city is gone I'll surely grieve myself to death!
