Drunk Off-Duty Cop Flees Police at 100 mph
On June 12, 2022, a Monroe County deputy observed a speeding vehicle in Key Largo, FL. When he attempted a traffic stop, the vehicle fled at a high rate of speed driving recklessly through traffic. After several miles, the vehicle finally pulled over and the driver exited saying he was a police officer.

Wow!! Truth be told…. We cover for each other. How disgusting!
As difficult as this must be for an officer to do to another, it is pretty disgusting to see this officer/Sargent treating this guy with special treatment and CONSTANTLY REMINDING him to "stay quiet" "don't talk" and constantly giving him heads up in making sure he doesn't incriminate himself further. Can you imagine a cop guiding you and assisting you to not incriminate yourself??? Their entire training is to collect as much incriminating evidence from you as possible. Even though he did arrest him and locked him up, it is VERY CLEAR to see and tell the difference between this guy and the incrimination that occurs towards the everyday public.
He's not a Cop that happens to be a Drunk. He's a Drunk that happens to be a Cop.

The cop arresting him is also unfit. He said he was supposed to let him go essentially but unfortunately his sargeant was on scene and everybody had cameras on. so basically his hands were tied. If this was before cameras were so popular and he pulled him over without a supervisor he would have let him go.
It’s amazing how much different officers treat fellow officers when the one is doing something illegal as in this case. 🤦♂️

@One Man I disagree. He was told to be quiet a few times after his Miranda Rights were read. Cops don't do that with other people. They lull them into a false sense of security making them think that talking / being honest is in their best interest. Not faulting them for this - it helps them make their case. I mean hell the arresting officer even said he did something later in the video (when they arrived at processing) because he was a cop. It wasn't anything crazy but it's just another thing that proves this commenters point. And while these things are seemingly benign it shows us that cops are treated differently and for me makes me wonder what's happening that I can't see.

Drunk driving is infuriating, especially when it’s a cop who you would assume should know better.
The cop says, "let's do this by the books." Greeeeeeaaaaat!
His first words were very telling “I’m a cop” meaning he fully believes that cops don’t have to follow laws. Far too many of his fellow officers share that view.

To be fair, I was once pulled over and arrested for a warrant that hadn't been processed as cleared a few hours after I went to court and took care of the case for a late court fee in a neighboring city. I had the paperwork but it was a plain paper with no watermarks to prove authenticity so he had to arrest me and told me I'm the most cooperative person he's ever dealt with so he let me have a smoke and make phone calls while he did shit in the cruiser then let me get in a paddy wagon that had two other people in cuffs without cuffs and let me hold onto my phonewhich i let the other 2 guys make calls on. I had to wait 3 hours in the jail before it was cleared. I'm not law enforcement I just made things as smooth as possible and was rewarded for such even though it was a wrongful arrest. Also I'm a Mexican male
