Drunk Mom Nearly Kills Her Child After Crashing Into Pole

#cops #police #arrest
On October 24th, 2022. Officers responded to the scene of an accident in which a HIGHLY intoxicated mum crashed her car head-on into a light pole with a minor in the car. When officers arrived on the scene, the woman could barely stand due to her level of intoxication. The paramedics said they found her daughter outside of the car on the floor with minor abrasions on her head, she had to be taken to the hospital. When the officers tried to question the woman, she just kept saying her daughter wasn't safe with her father. Multiple witnesses gave their statements and put her to driving the vehicle. Officers found that she had been taking prescription drugs before even getting behind the wheel while also consuming alcohol. This is the body-cam footage of the events that followed.

UPDATE: On March 29, 2023, Lauren Olivia Beach pled No Contest to DUI with Property Damage, BAC over 0.15, and a Passenger Under 18 , a first-degree misdemeanor in the state of Florida. She had initially pled Not Guilty on November 15, 2022. She was sentenced to: 12 months' probation; DUI school; Victim Impact Panel; 10 days vehicle immobilization; 50 hours community service; continue DCF (implying she already had a case open); and $1556 in court costs and fines. On February 6, 2024, her case was referred to a collections agency for nonpayment of said fines. In her booking photo, she is smiling brightly. At the station, she blew a 0.27 - nearly 3.5 times the legal limit. Accepted medical science does not support her assertion that she had only two drinks.

This one took a bit more work since they didn't give her name. But yeah, honestly I don't know what the prosecutor's office's usual practice is for these types of cases (I'm sure it's far from the first DUI crash involving a child that they've prosecuted), but maybe the Child Endangerment charge is considered redundant with the type of DUI she pled to? I've seen similar cases where that charge gets dropped as part of a plea deal, but the fact that it wasn't even charged in the first place is for sure confusing.

I have found from observation over the years that men set themselves up for failure with who they choose to wed and breed with. And then make it even worse by not enforcing their rights as fathers when the woman divorces them. It has been the failure of men enforcing their place in society that has permitted women like this pos to exist. 😢

The “friend” she was visiting was some guy who wanted nothing to do with her the minute she walked out the door (possible drug dealer or just a hookup). The little girl was dragged along to this “meeting” & exposed to this potential weirdo. I hope all of these things are investigated as child abuse or neglect besides it being a drunk driving accident that she was injured in. Her dad might very well be a POS but she sure was clinging to him. A lot needs to be looked at by CPS to figure out what this little girl is being exposed to on a regular basis.

Thanks intro guy for letting me believe for almost 5 minutes that the kid had died in that "deadly crash". Very glad to see she seemed somewhat okay.

First to be clear I have absolutely NO sympathy for this horrid mother but do have a question. She declined medical attention possibly due to her extreme intoxication but then started having what seems to be significant back/flank pain. Should the question be asked once again ( to CYA the poor cops butts that had to deal with her) if she now wanted medical attention for the pain so later if it was found she had an internal injury the police could not be held liable in anyway for her drunken stupid self?

I was gonna ask this too. I mean, if she has internal injuries and becomes further injured or dies in their custody, isn’t that a liability? And when she was cracking her back I was yelling at the screen “Don’t let her do that! She may have spinal injuries!” Hope somebody has the answer.

I cannot express how infuriating it is to listen to a drunk woman screaming that nobody cares about her daughter when she's the one that got in the accident with her daughter because she's driving drunk shame on her

Oh my gosh she is not even drunk she is absolutely obliterated, smashed, pissed, hammered this is unbelievable that she would even think she was in any condition to attempt to drive, she should definitely lose custody of this child, how disgusting
