Always a delight to see your reactions to our work 🙏🏻💜 So originally I actually kept the kick pattern you were talking about during the breakdown, but there was a weird phasing issue where the vocals, synth and hardstyle kick would cross over in the eq so I decided to change it to single kicks for the second half, plus when I played it on drums it actually gave me a second to breathe so worked out better 😂 Fun fact: I actually do one of the harmonies for the chorus too! If you listen really closely you can tell who is who, because everyone has 1% panning of their vocals! Mana at 1% Right, me at Centre & Zephy at 1% Left to be able to tell who is doing what, it’s subtle but if you really listen it’s super obvious, and applies for every single vocal in the song! Xox

Wow!!! Even more complexity to the mix than I thought! That’s amazing! And the reason for going single kick makes total sense. Plus, it’s always good to get a moment to breathe! Hey, good to see your back!! F copyright BS. I just heard a new band (not new, just to me) and they are Manchester Orchestra out of Atlanta and their song The Silence? Love to see your reaction… dude doesn’t touch the high hat for 7/8 of the song. They are sonically amazing, vocals are insane, as is the instrumentals. The drummer also has a video of him doing their other song “The Wolf” (Tim Very is his name/channel) but the sounds he gets out of of the most minimal kit is absolutely penetrating when you hear it. Just a recommendation. I know you’re busy, just always nice to hear your opinion especially compared to 99% of the other “reactors” who do nothing except say to subscribe during drumming.
