Junna is a monster on drums. We will be seeing a lot of her for years to come.
Why does nobody get the "drinking part"? In the official video during that solo the guitarist (don't know his name, not Herman Li) drinks a beer, that was the reference from her

The level of energy is amazing. She makes it looks so simple like its a casual drum practice
She is awesome. She beats the crap out of those things and her timing is great.

Junna does a mean BABYMETAL Doki Doki Morning with some unconventional foot work. Well worth watching.
I love how she seems to be having a good time.
I love that Junna chooses to keep her age for herself. Too many comments about that, as if that was the important thing. (I can imagine her laughing 😂) She's one of the best rock drummers ever. That's what's important ❗

GIRLS ROCK BAND KAKUMEI...they have lots of good videos to watch. The Band is called Trident now that Junna left the band.
This is the best drum cover ever !
Sakai Junna was born in 2000 and she plays the drums with the japanese all girl metal Band Trident check them out.
She is amaaazing.. wow !
She was in a band called Girls Rock Band Kakumei. They were an awesome band.
I ran into this today, and it just delights me to see how much she enjoys to play. I know you can't always see it from ones face, especially when he or she is really focusing, but somehow I have missed to see this childlike joy on some other "little Asian girl plays impossible things" videos. And of course it's possible, that it's sped up a little, but it looks very real...and it really doesn't even matter, because we would speak something like 5% speed increase, or else it would show, and even then this is beyond incredible.

Ok, it seems impossible to find her real age. I thought she is 12 or smth, but apparently she is at least 19, and some say she is 24...so she is not "little Asian girl" but "Japanese female drummer" who beats the shit out of her drums, and seems to enjoy it a lot.
I dont know what it is they put in the food in Asian countries, but they seem to be really adaptive to musical instruments and just PLAY THEIR ASSES OFF!! Junna is just KILLING IT!! I totally loved this and thank you for sharing it, kamo!! I will go check out more from her! When are we going to see some more drumming from you, my friend! I would love to see you do some Rush songs with the new Neil Peart drum sticks!

1 word: Discipline!!
@LogiForce86
4 жыл бұрын
@@jamesspooner1.2.76 Not only discipline. Vitamins and minerals have great influence on how well our muscles work, how well and fast our brains work, how fine tuned our senses can get. So wondering what is within their diet might not be as strange as it sounds. As it does have influence on how easily we pick up new skills, and if better eating habits improve that rate of learning and you add the same amount of discipline, which isn't different from a disciplined westerner, than it will be possible to achieve the same skill levels. Though be warned as not all food will contain an equal amount of vitamins and minerals as it all is dependent on how rich the soil is in these that the plants grow on (which animals need to eat). So eating healthy isn't as straight forward as it looks.

Junna was already a Japanese professional drummer when recorded this video. Definitely not a teenager but young and kawaii.
The main crash cymbals appear to be Sabian AAXplosion. I have them on my kit too. My favorite and most versatile for me.

the drummer from DRAGONFORCE said this is the best cover he has heard
@lucigano

Yes its true! He said!
The stamina and with it the ability to keep the speed all along comes from the breathing. She's mastering it, almost as she pull out her tang once. She takes a deep breathe when she knows she couldn't for a while and nothing is left to chance. And all of that while having a very good time playing what she likes. About age, all is the number of hours of practice. Asian people come out younger because they practice at least 3 or 5 maybe more times as a child than any westerner because they practice at school. When westerners are already home in front of their screens of all kind, Asian child and young teenage are still at school doing what they need to do: cleaning, studying and club activities. The skills of this 10yo drummer girl are the same than a 16yo or more westerners male drummer. I saw a 10yo girl once on TV, she was introduced as a violonist virtuoso because of what she was able to play at 10. She played on stage and the real violonist virtuose said: she's 10 ? She plays since she's 4 ? Well, she has the skills of an average violonist with 6 years of practice. I never laughted so hard before. Everyone was estonished and no one could say a word for quite a moment.
Hi, I like your comments and reaction to this video. I also started checking out Junna's videos after watching the video of Dragon Force's drummer giving his reaction. And I love fast drumming sounds! Have you heard about Yoyoka? She's an excellent drummer from Japan also, and she's only 10 years old! She's done many drum cover videos (Led Zeppelin, Queen, Nirvana, Radiohead, Rage Against the Machine, Red Hot Chili Peppers, and many more!) and one of my favorites is Led Zeppelin's Good Times Bad Times drum cover. Robert Plant himself even reacted to that :)

Japanese parents give obsessive encouragement to their kids, because their work ethic upbringing is more than just work related. Anything you work at is lauded. Yoyoka has the same - parents that are super encouraging.
"This song really requires a lot of stamina" The thing is she has played this more than once that day, it seems it was pre-recorded with mics and then filmed without mics. She is a stamina beast lol
can you do a video to show what you were talking about, about the difference in the way the bass drum was recorded on the original vs how she plays it here ...
