Bill Ward hitting those drums like they owe him money
Homie was holding those drumsticks backwards
The drums are like artillery shells and machine gun bursts. Bill Ward is a legend.

Exactly! He absolutely killed it! So good! 🤘🏻
Met Bill Ward at a Black Sabbath concert. Shook his hand. Very humble and a true gentleman.

70s…the coolest decade ever. 👊👊👊
Bill Ward is one of the most creative drummers I've ever seen. He's da bomb.

LEGENDS!!! 🔥🔥
Bill Ward is a beast 🤘 To this day that drum kit has a restraining order against Bill😂 Black Sabbath are the Godfathers of Heavy Metal 🤘
These guys scared me when I was a kid. Great band !

It took me almost 2 decades to be able to listen to them alone in a dark room! 😉
My fave GOAT hard rock drummers include Ward with Peart, Bonham and Carey.

All of those are straight legends! 🔥
This song hit home with me because my oldest brother was serving in Vietnam at the time.
Man, I don’t know what you’re talking about when you speak the intricacies of music and instrumentation but I like it. The way you describe the songs matches the way I hear them. You definitely know what you’re talking about. I appreciate that you can differentiate how well the classic, old-school musicians are superior to today’s rock sounds. Keep on keeping on, brother.

Really appreciate that and glad you are enjoying the content! Thanks so much for hanging out and have a great one! 🤘🏻
I don't know if you've heard it already Black Sabbath hand of Doom as usual Bill Ward All Star the other instruments it's about a Vietnam veteran that's having issues with what he saw over there. Check out the lyrics too.
Bill Ward holdin' it down back there!!🤘
One of the early influences for Bill Ward was Buddy Rich. I definitely feel his vibe in Bill's play. I think Bill Ward is The Buddy Rich of Hard Rock and Metal.
Listen to Into the void with Sabbath! 🤘🏻
ALL drums were harmed in the making of this video !

Bill Ward is the beast! Unsung hero.
One of my fav all-time live performances!. So glad you picked up on that single-kick run Bill Ward did, and replayed it. Surprised no one said it yet, but they'll tell you he beat them drums like they owe him money. 🙄 Gets old, but they're right. Bill beat the hell out that small little kit - and it sounded soooooo good. Fascinating that he can get so much from that small kit. Riff Master Tony Iommi on guitar Terry "Geezer" Butler shredding the bass And of course Ozzy slaying the vocals. Hand Of Doom/Rat Salad from this same show is also stellar! Amazing dynamics!! Great shots of Bill and Geezer throughout the vid, AND a little jazz jam session at the end is so, so sweet! 🤘🤘 kzread.info/dash/bejne/e3tl1Laim6_Tgag.htmlsi=6Px-0zKoJMjR2kuh

It was so killer and that single kick section about knocked me out of my chair! 😂🤣 You’re right about him wailing on that kit but I think that’s how he pulls such a great tone out of them! I went back and rewatched this cause it was so awesome! 🔥

@@setonhillstudios Another killer with that kick is John Bonham, but you probably already know that. As I'm typing, I'm watching a person react to The Wanton Song and John's foot is going bonkers back there! If you've never heard it, I highly suggest you give your ears an early Christmas present. Until next time...✌
You stated it, Black Sabbath was before their time. Incredible, unique & beautiful. Thank you for sharing this one. Question? Is that H.R. Giger's work on your screen space? If so, his work is pretty fantastic.
You seem to know music… and appreciate our old school 🇬🇧

Really appreciate that! Thanks for swinging by and hanging out for a bit!
Bill Ward on drums is a beast you can really hear & see his jazz influence on other songs on his approach & kit set up - I'd like to also give a shout out to Geezer on bass who's one of the best but hardly gets mentioned among the other monster players in this band
Still epic, listen to this a least one time every year

So good!
yeah, i am a drummer and i had the exact same reacttion. also, i said " if this song cannot stop war - nothing can " sad ...
Oh yeah! Bill Ward is everything!
Another proof of Bill Wards genius is the live version of Wicked World.
Bill Ward was as good as Anyone!💯❤️
Raw, powerful and definitive, even if fueled by drugs and alcohol (sadly). I didn’t appreciate Black Sabbath in my youth, but today’s “rock bands“ have me digging in the past for real Music. I didn’t get into Black Sabbath, iron maiden, and Led Zeppelin until I was in my 40s. You could say I had them on reserve.
Half of the Black Sabbath experience is asking "What the fuck is Bill Ward doing?!?!?!" Bro is a menace

This performance has different lyrics than on the album "Paranoid" as it was brand new, yeah it's about the politicians sending our kids to war, as they live the good life (basically)

Such an incredible drummer! Thanks for watching!
What a lot of people don't realise is that Bill Ward's roots are in jazz. Henry Rollins has gone on record to say Bill Ward and Geezer Butler (bass) are the greatest 7:53 rhythm section in rock.
And one this song have to be listened to AT LEAST TWICE (though I listen to it at least every month for many years now) to pay really close attention to what the bass is doing the whole song, especially throughout the solo part (may be it would be cool to watch some bass cover for this song to really see the details). Because Geezer Butler is absolute nuts!
Good stuff isn’t it gave this album and about 4 others on vinyl.. saw them live n nz in the 70’s. Epic

The flippin prince of darkness. Shit😂 Momma here ok so 1977 I'm 15 my old man was 20-21. He introduced me to Ozzy. The man just lived an awesome life struggled so. No matter what, as soon as he got on stage he came to life. The mssgs, you had to read between the lines. So happy, Post Malone (Take what you want from me!)and many young artists are inviting him on a cut. Payin their respect. 75 yrs old may struggle in conversations. Put him on stage thou be prepared! Here we are 47 yrs later still listening to Ozzy. Advice for a content long marriage, our fav. Quote from Shakespeare "If Music be the food of love play on! Loved this reaction. But it's video labeled wrong I see everybody react to it. It's a clip from a Belgian show on TV 2night special. I do have a link to both parts check it out the song lists are in but not timestamps. It is truly a gem I found. kzread.info/head/PLybJOVW1sw56yiAF13vtVGHRcZS1tGgKJ&si=d48UVz6dF4EMXVP1
