    Why can’t this “expert” critic do the same thing. Totally ruins it for me and I like realtors but not this one he should stick a pie in his hole and learn to stop trying to sound like the best player on earth. And I know Virgil I’m sure he knows who I’m talking about. Just zip it dude

    Michael Lee was a beast. Personally this version of Kashmir is my favorite. The Page & Plant "band" was a fresh air to the old songs, allowing them to explore new directions. As Led Zeppelin they would never do anything like that. Even tough, they always brought influences from various countries. And I want to share this piece of one of the last shows (Munich, 1980) of Led, where they play Kashmir and John does some crazy filthy fills. youtu. be /jqiW4VnX_5k?t=296 (remove the spaces, it's in the correct minute already) As a non drummer, I find that very impressive. Cheers Andrew!

    Hey Andrew. As a non drummer, I'm Enjoying the reviews and insight from a drummers perspective. Really informative. For led zeppelin comparisons yo Bonham, you really need to look at John Bonhams son Jason. Picks would include the tribute to led zeppelin performance of stairway to heaven with the Wilson sisters from the band Heart, or anything from the led zeppelin farewell show in 2007 which was released as Celebeation Day. Anything from that show. You asked in this video 'who else is going this' during the medley section. Two current bands immediately jump to mind that you might enjoy checking out. Joe Bonamassa BlackBerry smoke. You will enjoy both bands. And depending on the era for joe bonamassa. You might even have jason Bonham on drums. Cheers

    Yeah. I was watching an old compilation of clips where they were asked about it and their answers were a bit vague. Maybe they thought that he wouldn't want to do this and would rather do something else. Also, maybe they wanted it to be NOT seen as a Zep thing, even though it would be.

    Mate, THIS IS NOT LED ZEPPELIN!!! It’s Page and Plant, we know why it’s not LZ… Anyway I’ve seen Page and Plant twice in 1998, Michael was brilliant but he is not Bonham, he struggled to play Rock n Roll correctly as many famous drummers struggled (Collins, Thompson at Live Aid) Rip Michael Lee, great drummer, great performance here but no one is like Bonzo.

  • @davidkavanagh9551
    @davidkavanagh9551 Жыл бұрын

    Bonzo, was one of the greatest drummers ever, but let's be honest about this. If you watch them at Knebworth in 79. Don't try and tell me that bonhams drumming was any better than Michael Lee. Otherwise you are just saying it for sentiment reasons. And while I'm having a rant, the drummer who leaves the rest behind is GINGER BAKER. and if you look it you will find that John Bonham was his greatest fan. 👍👍👍
