Larnell is as relaxed behind the kit as the rest of us are on a rainy Saturday afternoon, watching movies on the couch. The man is so musical and creative, has crazy chops and is so deep in the pocket that he might be part kangaroo. The video where he plays Metallica is great too.

To me that video was an example of how Metallica was so basic that larnell not only learned it in one take, with no notes at all, he then played it better than lars ever could. And I actually like metallica.

So, yeah, I’m a big John Bonham fan. I took your advice and gave Larnell Lewis a try. I nearly swallowed my tongue.

1, He is such a humble man, and so willing to share his love of music with others 2, I love the tuning of hit kit. 3, I love how he uses up beats and off beats, he can hear just where they need to be,,,, what talent!!

Definitely one of my favorite players right now! And hey, I just learned he's Canadian!

I'm from Toronto and was a student at Humber College jazz program , and let me tell you, this city is full of amazing musical talent !

Larnell works hard to be this great, but it looks natural for him like breathing. It proves the point, if you are lucky enough to discover that one thing you’re great at, pour yourself into it.

Love love love these videos...not watched them all but close. Saw Snarky Puppy in Charleston, SC (where i live) last winter (pre-covid) and was blown away with their live show!

Totally agree with you. Love Larnell's playing. He's the perfect harmony of drumming chops and musicality. Everything he plays sounds and feels great. Always deeply part of the song, never a drummer who happens to be playing a song.

Great bunch of guys. I didn't see any egos. The 1st time I saw them, Sput Searight blew me away on drums. Then they added Larnell... lol eta I'm an old fart and have seen all the GOATS since the 70s; Mooney, Bonham, Ginger, Pert, Palmer, Appice, Phillips, ... Sput and Larnell are as good as anybody I have ever seen.
