Yeah but only once it's on full power, with the water (or methanol) injection working. What a beast of a car! Not to take anything away from the Turbo S but this M4 GTS is a real track animal.

To many comments on the m4 in front but honestly this video showed why Porsche is so legendary in racing, look at the comfort they both are having inside the car, they are so chill and calm yet the porsche ir cornering at 70-100mph and going 130-140 on straight like it's nothing and really smooth suspension work. Lovely car

This is why I love the ring! Never in a million years would I have thought a tuned Turbo S would struggle to keep up with an M4 GTS!

I don’t think people understand you don’t need 800 hp in the M4 to go that fast, the balance, handling, and driver skill make all the difference. Look at Kubica’s lap in the M4

That's true. BMW handling is great but that argument isn't realy valid against the 911 because this car is even more made for the ring than the BMW M models. But what most people are wondering is how the M4 does accelerate so quick on the straight. If the engine was stock it would be notably slower than the Turbo S.

@@leopard2109 don’t think manthey racing works on the turbo s 😭 if they did it’d practically be a GT2 without the RS, with modified aero from manthey racing, such as a fixed wing and that sort, plus the engine is the same between the two with a slight power reduction to 650hp compared to 700hp on a GT2 RS

To confirm, we tuned the M4 back in September '22. Ended up with 530BHP and 747Nm Not stock, but definitelty not bigger turbos or 700bhp+ claimed in here 😂

Thanks for commenting. Lots of people are confused about it’s ability to pull away from the Porsche under certain circumstances.

The F80 platform is seriously underrated, you can get 700hp out of them easily and reliably once you fix the crank hub. If you sort the traction out it's a missile even stock! The handling and balance is also amazing, the most underrated M3/4 generation imo.

WOW! Can't believe I finally got to watch Misha Vs Nuno. What a race. Some really impressive and inspiring driving from the both of you.

Misha needs to start following that M4 more often in videos. Your whole style of driving completely changes and you really go for it.

Holy moly that was on another level, both of you guys were totally sending it. The M4 moves incredibly and Misha was not falling behind even though the tires had enough by the end of the lap! Great video, as always, keep it up man!

Modest guy, would take him 100 laps to match Misha's 8000. That M4 is crazy.

You are very welcome but please be careful with your first laps on the Nürburgring. This year is a hell of a mess with many crashes and insane beginners, probably also because of KZreadrs like Misha attracting many people to come here thinking that they can drive like Misha...

Really nice Porsche but man that M4 was something else. I agree with all the other comments we definitely need a video and a lap in that M4 🔥

I feel like the only reason he finally caught up with it was because the gts got stuck behind a car blocking him. That gts was really fast in the straights and in corners.

What a great Video! It's allways so thrilling when U are chasing some more powerful or track performed car and pushing yours to it's limits so calmly. This type of videos are allways the best. Also nice to see interactions with work mates in apex.

I could watch this all day. So exhilarating.

Need a bit more than 100 laps for that pace, awesome lap Misha. Always find it amusing when folks forget a good setup is worth more than power.

You can see at the start a comparison of the two (BMW in rear view mirror) - the Porsche really pulls on it. "200hp" can easily be lost by shedding a bit too much speed or on the power a fraction late.

For all the 'experts' in the comments... Forget BHP figures, it's the torque that's the important figure here... BMW 750Nm, Porsche 800Nm, but 200kg heavier. People calling the BMW driver a liar, get a grip.. If anyone is lying, it's the Porsche owner claiming an extra 100bhp because their mate drilled holes in the airbox

Misha, this is by far one of your most adrenaline pumping , runs on the nur. ever! This had me on the edge of my seat leaning forward, very engaging! That BMW M4 is radical!!! Also it's amazing how you adapt to any car so quickly, full respect!

The more & more of these videos I've watched the more respect I have for BMW. I haven't been to the ring since 2015 & only remember it as 911 heaven. All these videos seem to show, M2, M3, M4 etc keeping up the pace no probs at all. Also, I'd love to see a video about that M4 GTS IE What components are used, how is the geometry setup etc....what a machine!

Call me skeptical, but once I drove M5 with modded S63 engine that makes 780HP on wheels. There’s no way a stage 1 M4 has massive torque to come out and accelerate from corner exit like that.

2% of what came out of that guys mouth wasn’t bollocks

I had the impression that M4 was better through fast turns where its aero+track suspension geometry compensated for the power deficit.

That Porsche is quick! But thats some mega driving by Nuno in the M4 GTS 👌🏻🏁

What an exhilarating drive! M4 was pushing to its absolute limit but even so what a driver and i cannot believe its slightly stock as even on the straights the speed was around the same as the Porshe Turbo!! Great set up of the BMW just shows what can be achieved especially when keeping a beast such as the 911 Turbo S 750bhp just behind it!

That M4 is crazy! Now... Let`s talk about some numbers. Turbo S stock 0-60mph 2,7sec // 100-200kph 5,8sec // Fast nurburgring time 7:17 ------ M4 GTS stock 0-60mph 3,7sec // 100-200 kph 8,0 sec // Fast nurburgring time 7:27. Technically, it is impossible to a stock M4 GTS (even in stage 2) have this performance over a stock Turbo S (imagine a 750HP one). Given this facts, something could explaining it, mechanical problems that reduce the power but the car is istill working fine, driving skills, proper race setup, tires, misinformation about the real power, etc. Conclusion: If you take the same driver, the best race setup in each car for that track, the M4 will have slowers lap times than the Turbo S. And, of course, in straight line, Turbo S smash M4 by far!

@trentox6713 do you know a channel called Carwow, I assume the answer is yes! Well, if you check de m4 drag race times (even the CS model) you'll see is much slower that the Turbo S stock. As I said before, some information is missing in this video, and you can see everybody in the end got surprised (even the m4 owner). If you understand about cars you know something is not right.

Why are you talking about 0-60 times? They're practically irrelevant. Not 🚫 not that, quoting and comparing advertised ring times is not going to be accurate either. Different tyres, weather, traffic to name a few. To top it off you mention yourself about drivers. Quoting car wow drag races was the icing.😅

That pursue of M4 GTS reminded me the old gold NFS III when in knock-out finals computer was switching on the “catch-up” mode to its full capacity :)

You are always so professional, respectful and inclusive with the owners. I think that your example gets reflected in the standard of your comments section too. Anyway, Lemsip... Yes, it''s great for clearing out the ol' sinuses but I would be a little careful with that volume of gear! It can also ping up on some drug tests if you have to do those.
