Ooh what an awesome Video idea!! Please more comparisons! I would also choose Belle. Here in Europe it's easier to get and the cheaper price is just too good!

Thank you, thank you so much for this comparison! The summer is coming and both of these yarns seem perfect for fresh tops. I will choose Belle everytime I need a neutral color and Line if I'd need a more vibrant shade. I look forward new videos :)

I have worked with Drops Belle three times and love it. I choose it because I could find a colour I liked, and the cost was fantastic from Wool Warehouse especially when they have a sale. Hard to justify the price difference 😢 .Thanks for these videos I really enjoy them!

Belle feels lovely on the skin and is very cooling. Like any yarn of this type , the garment gets wider as you wear it and therefore shorter, so knit an extra inch between the waist and under arm and an other at the bottom. Ive made about 12 garments. With it and have stash for a lot more because I like it so much. It wears better than cotton too. It can be combined with a thin yarn like mohair silk to give an unparalleled fabric quality for inbetween seasons or evening wear. The blues, green , petrol and cherry are just sumptuous but they do loose a bit of the depth /dye after washing. I like the slightly tonal or heathered look, for me its a big reason I buy it. Cons: no lighter weight version for crocheted tops. Limited colours. I cant wear the pale.shades and find them unappealing. I have a sneaky suspicion that the online swatches dont represent the colours accurately on purpose. Such colours that I have already bought, I will pair with mohair to change the colour. I wouldnt dream of spending €50 to make a linen tshirt so I havent tried sadness overpriced yarn When BELLE on seasonal sale would cost €7.50 for the five balls required.

Ill try later to put a couple of the belle tops up for you. If you cant find me by name then look for lousy merino beanie in the knitted items category and youll find me that way.

I made few summer tops from belle and line. For me there are the same. A made top with stripes and I used line and belle. When I need a neutral colours or black or more popular colour I choose belle because of price. When I need less popular colours I choose line.

Just wanted to say that I knit my Petite knit, Anchor summer sweater from Line and was able to buy it here in the US at Mother Knitter, a store in NJ. I did not like that this yarn stretches so much and I gave away the sweater for that reason! Good video.

The technial comparison is very well made and the arguments are solid, I really enjoyed this, it's super helpful ! Thanks a lot ! However I also have to say that the way you speak is incredibly nerve wracking 😅 all I can hear is the way influencers raise the tone of the end of every words to make it sound like the sentence is not finished, and keep the attention of the viewer for longer. I almost muted the video to watch with subtitles... but you did it a lot less after a few minutes, therefore I really enjoyed the second part ! It felt so much more natural and flowy. And as someone else commented, I also noticed you have a deeper voice during the first few seconds of the video. I agree it was much nicer, smooth and easy to listen to than the higher pitch that comes afterwards. You don't need to artificially modify who you are to make your videos great and encourage people to watch 😊 as I said before, the content is absolutely flawless, the video editing is great and easy to understand, the arguments are well explained, 10/10 !! (And I love your accent btw ❤)

It shrinks even if its handwashed in luke warm water. Make a facecloth with 4.5 mm needles and use it constantly . Youll see how the original , over loose stitches tighten into a correct guage. Measure it every two days to discover that it doesnt shrink all at once, it takes a few washes. It would be really decent if the yarn band told us this. Its a very nice yarn , I still buy it, you just have to know how it behaves over time. Its best for looser garments , not zero ease ones.

I really like your videos but the heavy valley accent is killing me 😭 I noticed you spoke with a deeper voice at the beginning of this video and if that’s your normal speaking voice I’d much prefer it. I’m subscribed and I watched a few of your videos but I never finish them because of this. I don’t mean to be rude.. I decided to leave this comment because I heard you speaking differently at the beginning of this video. You’re doing a great job content-wise which is why I subscribed. 💛

@@WoolTheyWontThey I’m from California so I call this way of speaking “valley accent” but I guess you can be from anywhere and speak like that. It’s the drawn out high pitch at the end of each sentence that’s like nails on a chalkboard for me. Someone else mentioned in a comment below that they turn down the volume and read the captions so I’ll try that 😅 I’ve never left a comment about someone’s voice before.. it’s really that hard for me to listen to 😭

Hi, Just to add my pennyworth to the comments about the sound. I’m English and when I first came across your channel I thought the voice was artificially-generated. To my ears it just doesn’t have a natural rhythm, tone or speed. I feel I’m being talked “at” rather than “to”. You refer to “I”, “me”, “we” and “us” , but do not introduce yourself, which only adds to this unreal feeling. I’m not saying you should show your face or even use your real name, but just saying something like, “Hi, I’m Felicity and today I thought it would be interesting to share with you ……..” would sound more real and would add just a small human touch. How about imagining that you are talking to a friend who is sitting with you? That feels like harsh criticism. I would like to add that I have continued to watch your videos because the idea of comparing yarns is great. I find it so useful that you do this and in a consistent way, especially now that so many yarn shops have disappeared. I do not have any nice yarn stores near me and, as we all know, buying online is so difficult, so I really do appreciate your efforts in showing and explaining the characteristics of the different yarns. Please keep going!
