+Flora Garland I definitely think there are only a handful of Japanese covers that sound natural in English, but I after a couple of listens, whatever English cover I listen to slowly starts to sound natural and I don't even remember why I thought it initially sounded unnatural. Don't know if it's just me who thinks that.

Well, the good lyrics are the trans lyrics. Straight translations don't flatter the lines of the song, or draw out the creativity, so writers like kura, rachie, and juby rewrite them nicely

Read some subs of the original lyrics. Those were good subs. The original lyrics are quite poignant. I know making translyrics is incredibly difficult.I like the singing. The poignancy is just not there.

Idk about that i listen to juby ALL THE TIME and i still find myself wondering if some of these collabs are done....not so collaboratly....(is that a word?) they do sound so much alike though @shadow forest. I agree with you rachie does have a slightly lower more rich tone that comes out but for me its extremely hard to detect

This works so well because of the syllable count, and the words chosen. They aren't overly abstract like most English versions of these songs.

Rachie has more of a louder voice why as juby has more of a soft, light voice than rachie. I think it’s cool how voices can be so different from each other.

I found Juby and Kuraiinu's cover of drop pop candy, listened to it, had my heart melt, then saw the link to this in the description. I clicked it and my heart exploded. I love it! Also, was your throat okay while you sang this-? It's hard to hear find this unless you've got a good ear, but the alternate title of "cough drop candy" makes so much sense lol Don't know if that's a literal alternate title for the song (like Baloney Speaker/Nonsense Speaker) because I'm too lazy to do research, but if you listen closely you can hear the alternate title in Rachie's voice.
