Where are you from?
Malaysian born, grew up in Perth, now live in Melbourne Australia but consider myself as a citizen of the earth. We will probably meet at an airport.
What gear do you use?
Not the brand loyal type, just what works well! ...but currently, Sony A7Sii/A7iii/ Nikon D610/ DJI Inspire 2/ Phantom/ Mavic 2/ various bits & bobs. See my gear here: bit.ly/2masfgI
Are you sponsored?
No, although I have several affiliated brands that I collab with. If you would like to sponsor my work hit us up ;) info@uavisuals.com

Dear Aaron, I just purchased my Inspire 2 and came across your video - essay this morning, which is the most comprehensive instructional on KZread. You take the time to EXPLAIN the whats' and whys' of drone photography settings and I greatly appreciate it. Great video. Please do more! You are a great instructor and I know your parents are crazy proud of their son. TBC

Excellent - clear - concise. Tried to follow along with a few other videos without too much success. Either this information overload finally clicked (pun intended) or you are that good. Let's choose the latter...shall we? Can't wait to see the results from my next footage.

Excellent camera tips - and thanks for your very clear information. As a drone newbee (mavic pro platinum) can you please point me in the right direction to where I can find answers to the following questions: Is there a DJI Go 4 App user manual - can't get this question answered on DJI Site and they are not explained in the Mavic Pro Manual (2017 version) What is the difference between Yaw End Point and Yaw Movement Limit or are these the same things but with different names in a revised Go4 App? Where can I find Gain Settings and Brake Gain explained and how they impact drone movement? Appreciate any help you you can provide, please. Are you living in Melbourne or just visiting - saw the Empress of Tasmania at the start of your settings video? Cheers from Down Under

Great stuff. By the way those exposure lines are called Zebras for obvious reasons. Production video cameras have two sets of those slanting in opposite directions. One set , like the ones here, show you what is over 100% brightness and is overexposed. The other set are usually set to 70% - 72% and are used to set the proper exposure for skin, such as when you’re interviewing someone. If they are lighter skinned you’d have a little more zebra on their face. If they’re darker skinned you’d have less zebra on their face. Obviously you rarely have someone’s face in the middle of a drone shot, so they aren’t really needed. Just a bit of info.

Cheers for the sub man. I think for basic editing Final Cut Pro is def the best. Fast rendering, easy cuts and you can download sweet plugins for cool effects etc. The other editing program thats free but also not bad is called Davinci resolve. Try it out!

Big mistake is buying a dji M2P drone that comes with a STUPID and never intelligent battery. These batteries gets pregnant after 9 months of purchase (Battery swells) causing the battery to be ejected from the drone during flight, ending in a crash. dji are so devilish by indicating in their policy that batteries are covered for 6 months only, because they know that at 9 month these batteries are giving birth. And the biggest mistake I did was buying the fly more kit and an additional battery to make it 4 batteries in total. All of the batteries now are swelled up. Mind you that I take good care of my stuff, for the batteries, I always discharge them to 40% if I'm not planing to use for more than 10 days, fully charge and discharge on a regular bases and always stored in a cool place between 15 to 25 degrees in a secure sealed hard case by Nanuk. Called dji for replacement, they rejected my request although I have bought the care refresh and the Select member which was never used once…!
