Driving Towards Mechanical Engineering at Purdue: PPHS First Class | A Documentary Series

In this first episode of “PPHS First Class,” we follow Prem, a senior at Purdue Polytechnic High School, as he embraces his potential, builds his confidence and learns how to bring his imaginative ideas to life.
Through discovering his love of EV Cars via his passion projects at PPHS, he built his confidence, and found his future college major, Mechatronics Engineering Technology. Prem’s story is exactly what Purdue University had in mind when the leadership invested in building a high school in Indiana that trained under-served communities using an experiential learning curriculum that prepared a student like Prem to pursue mechanical engineering at Purdue University--deemed the best engineering college in the US.
“PPHS First Class” is a documentary series produced by Purdue University that follows three students of the first-ever graduating class of Purdue Polytechnic High School (PPHS) during their senior year. The school’s mission is to reinvent the high school experience through project-based, STEM-focused, hands-on learning and to offer its students a path to Purdue. PPHS has created new K-12 pathways for Indiana students who are underserved by traditional high schools and underrepresented in higher education.

Is Prem the next Elon Musk?? Obviously, an intelligent and driven young man, but I love how he developed the social skills of working on a team and interacting.
