Australian muscle cars are not dead yet, after the last Ford Falcon GT-HO was cancelled Premcar picked up the work and is releasing the Holy Grail upgrade. At the center of the upgrade is the Supercharged 5.0litre V8 that produces a tyre smoking 483kW and 753Nm of torque.

    I want a W1, GTS 430 (hahahaha), GT-F and the Sprint HOly grail comparison ...... and a Mustang?... that would certainly keep all those who loved the Aussie Muscle car interested and certainly entertained ...... Street, Track and Dyno!!! :)

    I wound up here after looking at Ford Fusions in America. The only modern thing we have that is somewhat comparable is the 2.7 liter twin turbo V6 AWD Ford Fusion Sport.

    Impressive to say the least, thanks for the post mate. Talk about going out with a bang, what a car! Bloody shame about no more Aussie cars, I mean ferfucksakes that Falcon is an example of what we could do......along with many others that came from Ford, Chrysler and Holden. Looks like history is gonna repeat itself though as far as those three go. The Mustang is here, the Chev Camaro is likely too. The Dodge Challenger looks like coming too. Wheels magazine reckons Chrysler have given the nod to it........except Mitsubishi have the Challenger name in Australia so it will probably be called Charger. Let the good times roll.

    480kw is pretty easily achieved on the turbo's. The main attraction here would be the suspension and handling.

    Not if properly tuned/modded. Most have nice manners until you give them a boot full. It is a taxi engine after all. @@geesehoward7261

    Daniel Curtis tuning has nothing to do with it. The 6 is a much smaller engine and has a short torque range which makes it undrivable at high boost.

    We’ve seen high boosted falcons are rubbish on the circuit because of their poor drivability. Some of them lap slower than a focus st

    Only one way to find out... Honestly I think a fair comparison would be the GTS given the price of the cars would be about par but happy to see any comparison. They have to have one last head to head. GTS-R would be fair IMO... W1 is in its own league hence the purchase price. Could put the W1 brakes under the falcon, fix the aero and it would still come in under 170k. A XR8 Sprint with 100k spent on it would have the W1 very concerned.

    Hands up who reckons this will be a appreciating muscle car in ten years .... yep nobody.... no visual presence, taxi spec interior with fat dad seats let it down. 40 grand to sort out the intercooler, suspension and exhaust.....not exactly a bargain. There is a reason Ford didn’t try to sell them at this spec level originally. It is a big ask that nobody will deem worthy of their cash.

    You guys just didnt understand the video. This is the developers homage to the HO ( Handling Options ) and with only 100 built. This thing will be a superstar worth a fortune in the future if not already now. Look at the unknown XA phase 4 , worth a fortune for an unknown car. The people who buy these cars know about these cars. And they are worth even more because they were a secret from everyday normal people. As an example, look at the recent story about the last Commodore to roll off of the production line, it wasnt actually the official last commodore off of the line.That was a car that a worker at Holdens tracked and then purchased from a dealer knowing he was buying history.

    I'm hoping that when electric cars become affordable the fuel companies drop their prices to compete. I'm assuming that that's why they're wringing us dry with high prices right now, they're getting as much money as they can right now so they don't go bust when they have to charge $1/L. I would reccomend buying these Aussie icons now, because when fuel prices drop to keep people buying petrol powered cars everyone will be looking for a performance sports saloon!

    We can never run out of oil! The whole thing is a scam! There are tapped oil wells in Queensland that have enough oil to supply the world for over 200 years on their own! Fact! Was found during the joe bjelki era! It's not fossil fuel at all that is just so laughable! It's the big deep! Shaol in the bible or Hell and that's where shell got its name shaol/ shell! The earth produces it as the pressure liquifies the earth below. Scientifically proven and biblically noted and explained. Everything is a scam to enslave us.

    Lovely wheels low profile tyres perfect for our pot hole roads ! I’m sorry I can’t go past our old Skool fords and holdens etc These new cars just blend in to normal traffic

    @Mark Nicholls given it's a performance package and not from "their facotry", they would of had to dyno it in the car unless they took the motor out

    @Mark Nicholls i know ford underplays their power figure a lot and holden overplays theirs, like with the gt f 351, didn't say much about the overboost and it made 404kw at the crank which was nearly 351 at the rear

    Between your legs! 647.9 hp on the old scale! Now twin turbo the unit and bingo over the 1000 you go very easy. Ps don't let the mrs drive it unless you like it full of yellow paint from the posts at the shopping centres and quarter panel damage from the ass cutting lose as she races for that car park close to Coles . Grrrrrrrrr!

    You do realise that a turbo on a V8 will beat a turbo on a 6? There are also some cons with running a turbo.

    ​​@@Internetbutthurt BMW turbo 6 is Faster than BMW turbo V8 Mercedes Benz turbo 4 is faster than Mercedes Benz turbo V8 Falcon Turbo is faster than Supercharged Falcons V8 Supercharged V8 engine has bigger issues than Turbo 6. Supercharged engine needs more revs for the pulley to create forced induction boost. The bigger the pulley more revs are needed to create forced induction boost. Peak torque and power comes in at much higher revs on supercharged engines. You combine high revs and forced induction supercharging and heat soaking in the engine becomes a major issue very quickly

    I agree, the Falcon Sprints looked disappointing and if this is 'unofficially' a GTHO, I'd want a shaker scoop, stripes, bright colours, GTHO-style badges.. Maybe some retro-inspired wheels could work.. If Premcar played up the angle of ex-Ford engineers who were prevented from making a GTHO secretly developing it against Ford's wishes, showing up the Mustang etc, they might generate the mystique to make this a valuable car. If the badges constituted unlicensed use of a trademark, sell the car unbadged and set up midnight meetings under a bridge to slip each owner a bag of badges...

    Yeah nah Herrods XR8 FGX package beat the W507 and the W557 is almost as good....the 557 has 850nm of torque at the fly whereas Herrods XR8 has around 810nm at the wheels, through an auto. The 557 was Walkinshaw's answer to Herrod who could have gone harder but they wanted to protect the driveline. Herrod did more than the Holy Grail package but what they didnt do was the new manifold.

    Again FORD owners want to have something special but ant make one at all, still ford FGX with a work done to it, LOL Nothing like a W1 nothing, wheres the FORD FGX GTE or even the FORD FGX GT, still thats fords best, compared to a factory HSV models no comparison, the FGX still has everything which the FG ford models had, same dash same serats same everything including the diff which needs to be fixed even when new, lol :)

    No such car Ford FGX GTE or GT. It was FPV FG Mark 1 or 2 in F6, GTE, GT, or GTP. Then came the final GTF. You are taking about the Sprints xr6 and 8.

    If Ford had the money back then when the last gtf ran off the line they would have made upgrades to the whole car wing interior body kit suspension exhaust updated and sell it for $150,000 grand maybe less It would have been the nicest ride then all the fpv put together I know they would have

    And nothing like the price of a W1 either .They're nice but 175 K for a Commodore ..Nup .... A mint FG GT or FGX XR8 for around 60 K ish ... Do the Premcar set up for around 45 K .. and end up with more power and better handling with a ton of cash left over .....and looks better ... And then there's the almighty F6 / XR6 T's that cost even less ...
