Driving the DANGEROUS road to Ushguli, Georgia | REBELZ LOG 75
As we told you in the previous vlogs, we were going to the end of the mountain pass into the Caucasus Mountains. The whole way we thought that would be the village called Mestia, but then we found out we could go even further! Only some people told us we needed a 4x4 drive, but when we got the thumbs up from a local looking at our huge campervan, we didn't hesitate anymore. It was quite a scary adventure though, not knowing what we would find behind the corners, but we made it to Ushguli, the highest inhabited village of Europe at 2200m above sea level.

oh my gosh, no way would I have gone up that steep road, especially with it being so wet and streams crossing it as well, your right, "Balls of Steel", hell I was nervous like I was there lol. Be safe!

hahah, you are right! It wasn't a very good idea and if it wasn't for Ard, we would never have arrived in Ushguli. But luckily we did! Thanks for watching and have a great weekend 👍🏻

Hi... I am going to ushuguli this june... Can you tell me how far is ushuguli from kutaisi by car..and how far is mestia from kutaisi..
most dangerous road in georgia is tusheti road :d this is normal road dd

@@tcp1228 haha if we could do it with this van, you can do it too! Otherwise there are vans going up and down everyday that can take you with them. Really fun to hike in the area!

Which road you took to get to Mestia? I am planning to Travel end of May from Kutaisi to Mestia so I am wondering if the road is all paved or no? Will I need a 4x4?

The road to Mestia is quite easy, most of the road is paved. The campervan we drove around was huge and was not a 4x4, so you'll be alright! If you're planning to drive to Ushguli, you should ask around because that depends a lot on the weather. Good luck and enjoy your road trip, it's beautiful!
