Today we embark on a journey on arguably the most dangerous road in all of Europe. The road from Ushguli Georgia high within the Caucus Mountains to Kutaisi and then on to Tbilisi Georgia.
I didn't realize at the time but you actually need special permission to drive on these roads, special permission which I did not have, oops! Luckily right after myself and a few German guys got stuck in the mud I came across a Dutch tour group in serious offroad vehicles with local Georgian drivers.
My Toyota Highlander was really put up to the test today navigating the snow and ice of the mountains even though it was already mid June! I am very thankful for the Georgia drivers who were able to help navigate me throughout the treacherous terrain.
