Love the locals, they always have an excuse for everything that happens to ‘their’ city. Be it blaming illegal immigrants for crowding KLCC during festive days or Indonesia for the haze pre-monsoon season. Let’s face it, deforestation for the palm oil industry, rampant corruption, kleptocracy, bad government, no law enforcement, it all adds to the couleur locale in Malaysia. A wonderful country with intrinsic friendly people, but also with a lot of flaws and far from being the so wanted developed nation. Back to this video, nice to see what I experience veryday here, when driving around in KL, the city where I live. Oh, and by the way, the haze isn’t over, it’s still there, maybe not as bad as a few months back, but the air quality is still below par, every single day.

People often say that Southeast Asia is a developing country, but from the video, it is more developed than Europe and the United States.
I'm from Vietnam, I like this city, it looks so modern and large.

Well... still considering small, if the only KL City Center area to discover... but if u travel cross thru the "Greater KL", more than 50km radius to explore better view and scenery to enjoy.

KL city center is indeed only 2 million people. but the large metropolitan area of KL called greater KL has a population of almost 10 million people. greater KL is a very large city area.

@@EGO0808 Yes, the KL region is relatively small, but when we take non-KL places such as from Klia to Shah Alam, the city is extremely big because KL is situated in the center of this path.

The place would've been a rainforest if the city wasn't there. Entire Malaysia Indonesia Papua New Guinea are on equator or nearby it. The place get rain throughout the year. It's easy to keep these places green compared to other cities at different parts of the world

Malaysia has a very good Town and Planning Department some good officers who sturdy over seas they came back with comparative environment of other cities of the world.
Thanks for sharing this video. Very smooth drive. Kuala Lumpur is an amazing city. Loved by many. Modern skyscrapers and classical building perfectly blend with modern facilities, green and clean. Please ignore some hatred comments from neighbouring country. They are jealous with everything about Malaysia.

@@MaksapataRajs Not necessarily. Malays is the largest ethnics in Kuala Lumpur by 47.4% population and Chinese comes second at 40.9% (source by DOSM Malaysia). It's make the Malays a biggest consumer in the city who spend tens of millions each year to helps expedite the economy. Plus, most of the prominent KL's financial hub and skyscrapers like KLCC, TRX, KL Tower, Merdeka 118, The Exchange 106 and whatnot was built and erected by the government subsidiaries, not the Chinese enterprise as they focuses more on the consumer segmentation like property development and retailers. So its not make sense to claims the Chinese is the sole contributor for the KL development since the government, the Malays and others expatriate also working together for the growing of this fabulous city.
Yes, like every other city in the world - Kuala Lumpur is not perfect. Yes there is pollution, trash, bad traffic, etc. Those are common problems associated with urbanisation and industrialisation - but in comparison to other cities, I'd say KL is doing a slightly better job at managing these problems. Usually I am quite critical of my own country, but after travelling abroad and seeing how it is out there, I can only say that I am proud to be Malaysian. you don't need to travel abroad to see their conditions. there are some yt channels that specialize on showcasing slum areas of neighbouring countries by their own citizens. i have yet to see a malaysian youtuber showcasing malaysian slums.

Why no one's commenting on how good audio is? Super clear and spatially surround. With headphones on, I can actually pin point the direction of any passing/stopping vehicles without even seeing them.

everybody has a different opinion. For me, its kinda remind me of LA or Beverly hills California or something like that. idk maybe the palm trees in KL look similar to LA, the KL skyline with the surrounding mountains view look similar to LA too. Except, over there it has hollywood sign on top of mountain. Here it has large casino on top of mountain.

Worked in Selangor but lived in Klang. Every now and then went to KL. Another city I loved. Now reside in Johor Bahru.

Malaysia also has 13 states and 3 federal territories (Kuala Lumpur is a federal territory), each have their own uniqueness and not all roads in each Malaysian state is as complex as KL 😂

You can find KL mods in GTA online (but still based on the Los Santos model), and there are full of Malay players in that server doing funny things based on viral trends in Malaysian culture.

Dear J Utah, you know that Greater Kl is huge right? it would take you more than 50km to travel across the metro area from north to south, west to east. I suggest you to drive around each of metro city area including: Petaling Jaya, Subang Jaya, Damansara, Shah Alam, Cyberjaya & Putrajaya. You wont regret this I promise you, there's so much to explore and see in these different suburban areas. It has its own unique scenery. Oh and happy new year! ^^

Those are separate cities from KL, it's like New York City bordering with Jersey City, Newark, Yonkers, Mt Vernon, etc.

More like KL is Manhattan and the others are Queens Brooklyn Bronx and etc

Queens, Brooklyn, Bronx, are boroughs of New York City, equivalent to Districts within KL like Segambut, Kepong, Setiawangsa etc. Shah Alam, Cyberjaya, Petaling Jaya, Ampang Jaya, Subang Jaya etc are separate cities bordering with KL, with their own distinct governance, laws and regulations

For me KL is a new Dhaka, it full with south indian people and bangladeshi. The city is so colorful with hindu temples sprawling through out the city.

@@PissMenn g aple kalo bandingin populasi , noh kota di china malah bukan kota utama kaya beijimg atau shanghai contoh lah shenzen itu penduduk nya lebih banyak dari jakarta tapi fasilitas umum penataan kota dan transfortasi umum mereka jauh meninggalkan jakarta
