I just got one of these a week ago!! Love love love it so much!!! So fun to drive⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️🎉

I've got one of these and I absolutely love it.

Slk 350 has 350 Nm at 2,400 - 5,000 rpm, 350z has 353 NM at 4,800 rpm. So the slk has same torque from just 2.400 rpm. The slk accelerates faster to 100 as well, 5.5 sec vs 5.8. The gearbox in the slk shifts much faster if you use the manual mode.

Hi from and old "roadster style" car lover. Since 1969, I had 8 of them: 2 Volvo P1800, 1 Volvo 1800ES, 1 Prelude, 1 Nissan 200SX, 2 Nissan 300 ZX and my SLK 350 amg manual. I also had a lot of friends who had there own roadster car like MGB, Triumph TR4, Datsun 2000, Corvette, Mustang, Camaro, Austin Healy, etc. Sooooo... I think that we can talk a lot about that kind of cars in front of a fire camp. Bla, bla, bla, bla... I loved all of them... especialy my SLK with his manual transmission, the sound of the exhaust and the handle of the road. When I am driving, I feel like a monk in his Nirvana. I bought my SLK 2005 6 years ago. The maintenance cost was less than 2000$ CDN (including 2 rear new tires and one new battery in 2020). Not so bad, right ? Naturaly, this car run only from may 1 to october 31. The rest of the time he sleeps in a garage at 18 Celsius. So, for Food Poop who ask you below if it's a good car to buy, I can tell him that mine is a Bijou.

Nice review dude. Spot on. I bought a manual r171 350 a few months ago. Its such a nice gearbox too. Really flicks though the gears. Lots of fun, if you've not tried one since this, think you'd appreciate it even more.

I have an 09. And aside from a few minor considerations, I really like it.

Love the SLK The AMG version is dirtcheap in the USA.

i got a 2009 300 hp car , i think the z car is slower.

I have the exact same model same color and often get comments when I'm out great little car.

Really love the colour, so much better than silver or black.

Not sure if you got it there but you should try the facelift 350 with 305hp and revs to 7200rpm

In Germany is the SLK a little bit faster as a Z350. It is a Wulf in a Sheepskin.😁

I thought the same thing with the transmission but then I learned you can reprogram it and get it used to your driving style. I find it's much better now but I reprogram the transmission you can find information on KZread on how to do that it's really simple

I get that this KZreadR is new to the Mercedes Benz Lifestyle (Hey !! Welcome aboard !!) First point, each & every Ben car I've owned thus far has been the most reliable car brand ever! My C classes, R class & M class endured breakdowns less than one per year and in some cases a three year plus stretch. The less expensive model's when repaired cost me far less that friends with Toyotas, Honda's, BMW's or Chevy's (hopefully this SLK that I picked up a few months back holds true to my prior experiences with Mercedes Benz... For that reason alone I would pick my car again over the Nissan, even as countless woman in my hood became instant Gold Diggers - they so cute-;& they ain't messin wit No broke Ninga Speaking of Ninga, my car has, how do you say ...???... BLOWN TYE FRICKIN DOORS Off Every Z car, BMW M3 or Hellcat I've come across.. and THOSE were the ones who didn't just Instantly turn the other way once I was spotted. Once bit, twice shy- ? I guess... Ladies and Gentlemen - boys and girls (or whatever else you wanna call yourself in this 2024-) - thanks for reading, your results may very

SLK, especially with AMG pack on it, a mini Mclaren SLR, a real departure from the normal German cars, hell it could even be Italian if you really squint. Sorry but for me the nose of this car just does it for me, even if is a nose slower. I get mine tomorrow... vote with your wallet... Thanks for the sound shots.

With AMG suspension, you crash into every hole and bump in the road. Harsh is the word I would use. Horrendous body scuttle. That’s my only criticism.

​@@monk3yboy69 Absolutely love the slk's and totally agree with you over the AMG hard suspension, very irritating and impossible to live with.

I prefer mine over my C5 Corvette for daily drives.

Not as good as the later variation which I have.Additional 50 BHP and better quality interior and later styling make massive improvement.SLK 55 takes roadster to a different lavel of performance again,and boy,what a sound.

Is that a stock 350? I didn't know they sounded soooooooo good @7:10

I'm afraid I can't comment on realibility as I'm not 100% to sure on these cars. This car had a sensor issue at the time of recording that was it. You will have to do some research on it if you are serious about getting one of these. Mercs can be money traps if you buy the wrong one so be carefull. On the actual driving experience it's a nice car just not what I personally look for in a car. That will be something you'll have to drive yourself first to find out. Hope this helped. Sorry I only drove it for a few hours.

I bought mine a 2005 with 130k miles and it hasn't given me any major issues do far had it for almost a year

This car is a secret gem ! Mercedes teamed up with Mclaren for only 7 years. And in that time span they adopted their style... the SLR is the half million masterpiece they crafted, but this is the watered down version for a fraction of the cost ! The r170 was ugly as hell, and the r172 went back to blocky rectangles... if u got one, keep a KUNG FU grip on it ! ...

No No No, the mk3 is still a beautiful looking car and more powerful it's based on the styling of the SLS models and looks more modern especially the AMG models ( without the hard dynamic suspension package ) the cars have to be updated, the mk4 which was re branded the SLC is the same another great looking facelifted car which sadly all came to an end in 2020.

i bought one of these about 6/8 weeks ago. love it and i'm a middle aged male. perfect car for me like u said. mines a manual though, so better than the shitty auto versions.

mines a 2005 with 86k miles and serviced yesterday. nothing wrong with it at all the mechie said. absolute bargain 3800 gbp.

Got one, I can’t fault the steering to be honest. I’ve yet to be burnt off by any hot hatches and in comparison to the Datsun, sorry Nissan! Please!!!!

The Benz is not faster and the auto gearbox is slow 🤣. The 350z is not soft and is much more of a raw sports car. The Benz is more of a sporty cruiser. Each to their own opinion but haven driven both very fast and on track the Benz is not the superior vehicle.

@@Coyote350 I don't see why it would be a joke. It's still a base model Mercedes so of course they're gonna dumb down the transmission to be smoother because the majority of the buyers aren't looking for a harsh shifting car. They use the same transmission in the W204 C63 AMG which is an all out muscle car, and the shifts are very fast. If you apply equal mods to both, the Mercedes will always win because it has an extra gear and weighs less or the same, and it wont have all the VQ engine problems, as long as you buy a 2008 or newer. If you watch videos of SLK350s vs 350zs on KZread as I have then you'll see a lot of the time the SLK350 wins, mostly because the extra gear always beats it in the 0-100.

SLK350 is a good choice if a) budget wont stretch to the SLK55 model b) budget wont stretch to a 987 S Boxster c) you're a hair dresser

z350 is clunky ugly car this is European and more refined in all respects.
