After a last minute phone call I took delivery of a GR Yaris in order to go to Le Mans with Toyota. We watched the 24hr race and then I hot footed it back home. A brilliant way to spend a weekend.
Enjoy,
Sam

Great video Sam, Le Mans is a fun trip, I loved it last time I went. 7 hours is a decent drive huh. I did 7 hours in a Clio RS in a Beat the Sun run challenge last year and hot hatches can be surprisingly good on a long journey. Roll on more fun car journeys in 2023.

You are right. A hot hatch nowadays can do the motorway bit (especially on smooth European roads) and then be fun for the twisties

Porsche 911, Cayman and Boxster all available in manuals 😉 Looked like a hectic w/end 😁

Would love to do this trip next year. However, one extra crossing from Ireland or else a rather tedious ferry crossing to contend with. Maybe get the car roof tent ordered anyhow.

Tricky dilemma that one. Presumably an overnight ferry would be quite chilled? Or is it just 4 hours or something?

@@sammooresphoto just under 20 hrs but can always get ferry to Wales then drive to the tunnel. That’s my preferred option.

The idea of owning a GR Yaris seems much more lovely than actually owning one 🤣

@@grahamhaynes7658 couldn’t agree more. I’ve owned plenty of great performance cars, both factory and heavily modified, and smiles per dollar the GR Yaris is at the top of that list
