Just been watching your video for the first time, thoroughly enjoying it. I enjoy cab rides in train videos, it's even better when there is a commentary like the way you have done. Great job. I have subscribed. I live in Newcastle Upon Tyne, and there is Metro train system, i have a channel which i have filmed the Metro journey. Great job mate.

LOL at the crows who know how to board the train & exit when the chimes ring! Hope you enjoy your time in Australia when you come in a few weeks. We have a vast train network here also, but not as great as the UK lines, nor as busy. Your knowledge of the stations & everything in general is vast. Always a pleasure! Thank you for the (free) rides!

In the 60's - 80's I lived in one of those houses on the left after leaving Hounslow Central and in to the 70's you would still see 'lost' District Line trains presumably stopped where you mentioned. Never used to really hear the trains but when maintenance was done in the middle of the night that was really noisy! Luckily only one or two nights every few years. Missed the old red trains when they stopped running. We would sit in the garden and watch the planes coming in to land. At the time the house was in the middle of two landing flight paths so again the noise was minimal. Saw both Concorde and the Jumbo Jet’s first arrivals in to Heathrow.
I’m new to your channel and find it simply fascinating … Back in the early 60s my Grandma lived around the corner from the Old Vic, and whenever we went to stay with her and would say I’m popping out to play. Little did they know I was running round to Waterloo station and jump on the Underground. If mum had known I’m sure she would have given me a good telling off… I spent hours travelling all over the place and jumped on and off at stations now no longer used. The underground has always fascinated me and I often wished I had been a driver. These days I can only watch videos like yours “or’” secrets of the London Underground. Now in my 70’s you have kind of made my dream come true. Thank you so much for sharing your trips, you’ve made me very happy 👍🍻

Great job on the video and commentary, keep up the good work!
I went from Rayners Lane to Hatton X (via Acton Town) from when Hatton X opened until around 1981. I worked in what was No2 Maintenance Area - which disappeared when Terminal 4 was built. This trip was pure nostalgia - with a few new bits on the T5 branch.
I love driver's eye videos, your's are a new discovery for me.
I have just found your channel and watched this video. I found it really interesting. Coming from the Isle of Wight I have a real fascination for London's rail network, it's good to see from the driver's viewpoint and your commentary is great in pointing different things out, it's almost like riding the service yourself. My wife and I did travel on this line a year ago so it was good to pick out the bits I remembered from then. Thanks.

The Piccadilly Line was my first experience on the Tube! I took a UK vacation in 2019 and took the Piccadilly line from Terminal 5. As what we Americans call a "rail fan," the Underground is a very different and unique experience. Overall, I loved it and I love these videos.

I have a sentimental attachment to the Pic due to my frequent touristic visits. The Liz has largely replaced for me, depending on where I am staying. I know the sleep deprived feeling of getting onto the tube and settled, but dang, some people ARE obliviots and I am chuffed ( and not surprised) to hear crows know better

Thank you for the great video. I live in Australia but have risen on the Tube a few time over the years and very much enjoyed the drivers eye view.
Ah, now that brings back memories. I grew up in Heston between 1959 and 1968 so Hounslow West was the nearest local station. I remember seeing the "new" silver trains (1959/62 stock) coming in and also recall at least once seeing what I now know to have been a Standard Stock train in the station. Of course, back Hounslow West was the terminus of the line though, by the time my family moved away from London, they had just started to build the new tunnels for the extension to Heathrow. Fantastic stuff, many thanks for posting. I keep telling myself to stop subscribing to all these KZread channels - I obviously didn't listen to myself after watching this one and subscribed! 🙂

Wow this brought back many memories! I used to travel from South East London to Heathrow most weekends in the early 2000s with my nephew who was a toddler at the time (He turned 24 today!) - Always got the Picc from Green Park to Heathrow, so nice to see the journey from a different perspective! Don't get to do it these days as I now live in Edinburgh! - Felt the same excitement watching this as I did back then getting closer to Heathrow, with the planes getting lower and closer! Thanks and keep up the good work ;)

Thanks I enjoyed your video. In the early 1970’s I was a ROA on London Transport and had the good fortune of working in the Northfields Signal Cabin. For me it was a fantastic time and I remember visiting the cabin at Boston Manor with a signalman and station master. London Transport was a great place then and I have very fond memories of my time and also the training centre at White City, Peter Ursell being one of the trainers…
Thanks for doing this line Dale. I went on it from Russell Square to Heathrow No 3 in 2012 just before the Olympics and so enjoyed going on the tube train. I was supposed to be picked up to and from the airport but my travel agency didn't book it right but the airport staff said my hotel was on this line and I enjoyed the train trip and all this has brought back those memories . Much different than our Australian Rail system specially with signaling in NSW where I'm from.

Loved watching it. I lived in Boston manor and when working in the city would ride the Piccadilly many times. Seen an close call once. As I'm sure you know people pick the best place to stand when getting on the train so they don't have to walk to long along the platform when they exit. Doing this exact thing back in the 1980s standing at the end of the drivers end of the platform. One tube exited the station and before it left a second train entered the station at speed and it just missed the end of the last train. I almost thought I'm going to die. Thank you for the video always liked the idea of the driver's point of view

I'm from New York City and for a short while worked for The New York City Transit Authority as a Station Agent. I've always been fascinated with Subway or Metros or Tubes. It's all the same with differing geographic names. Your video is highly informative and in 2010 I had the pleasure to ride that very line from Heathrow into the Center City. I also took the Jubilee Line north to St John's Wood to see The Beatles Abby Rd Studio. I noticed you did have some 4 track express service and your trains seem to run frequently. London has generally a cleaner system than New Yorks but New York has 24 hour service. 😳 How do working class people there get home after a night at the pub!! ??😂 ..😊..I enjoyed watching!!
