As far as animals... i have a cat. She jumps on passenger seat and plays without any issues. The camera is off when parked so the cat on dash dpesnt affect it. I have pet her while driving... no issues.

It's subjective. I have very few bills, no family and make good money. Someone with a ton of bills and a family to support may not be doing as well.
