I don't think so. It might seem wrong to you but Kahaani film's trailer clearly said "... how do you find a man who doesn't exist!" So no one in the movie betrayed or fooled you, only if you are not one!

Definitely a must watch .. One of the best Indian thrillers..

is this film (2015) complete copy of Malayalam movie (2013) called Drishyam? Even The title & the trailer is look complete copy of Malayalam drishyam. You should give credit to Malayalam industry for allowing all other industry to copy this movie scene by scene into different language

Please review the malayalam version with the same name "Dhrishyam". You could see the brilliant actor mohanlal who acts exceptionally well as a father who's there for his family at all times.

He is versatile hero

I would recommend the actual Malayalam version first. It was such a winner that it was remade several times. Everything about that version was perfect. The acting, the story, the actors and just about everything was so captivating.

I know it's a malayalam remake but it's kind of shitty how the Hindi watching audience separates Bollywood from the rest of the regional film industries of India. Maybe Bollywood has a higher budget and reach, but the regional industries of India, especially Malayalam, Bengali and Marathi recently have produced fabulous stuff on par with some really great stuff in the west. And always Malayalam as an industry is insulted and degraded & ignorant folks believe every South Indian movie is about cars flying, hero beating up thousand people and such. And with all due respect, Malayalam Drishyam, the original, was the best and Mohanlal pulled off one of his finest performances.

more than bollywood its the people who are always trying to define a movie by saying original was better when in reality they too copied or got inspired by someone else. For example people saying how the malayalam version was the original but in reality its based on a japanese novel. So its a real shame people still try to differentiate between all things Indian into regional basis as if they are saying Fuck "Unity in Diversity" that was taught to us in school as kids.

Achara is so connected. She gets most of the things bang on. Intuition. This is a must watch movie. Original was in Malayalam and it was remade in 7 to 8 Indian languages. It's screenplay is so awesome it was successful in all languages.

I watches it two times nd couldnt understand how someone s mind can be that great!!!! Its based on a true story about a Man and his family. Watch it! Its amazingggg

Divya Singh if its an inspiration then who the heck gave people to decide that which version is good or bad...anyways it has been inspired from a foreign mivie ...so Bollywood copied it from kollyqood completely or not doesn't matter right cause idea is the same ....how ironic is it that we are smart enough to twist things in our favour through some words which is fake and we know this deep inside that its just massaging our ego nothing more than that...and yes on being over smart then I can only say the Ms.Divya The dumb always think that others are over smart...so don't worry its not a disease u will get over with it.

I dont want to stretch this lets not make it urs and mine . But its all about acting skills story and direction in whatever language you make it . Everyone has an opinion and some people like me think that the Malayalam version is a better depiction of the story and for your information the japanese movie comes from the novel The Devotion of Suspect X . But just to tell you both the stories drishyam and suspect x are based on a murder coverup thats why it looks similar my belief .anyone can write down a script which might be inspired by another story . Yet Malayalam is not my language yet i was impressed by the impact of the acting by mohanlal. If you disagree not a problem your choice . but i was not deciding anything just my notion . so chillax and enjoy the review . why so serious.

When I watched the film i was so intrigued and captivated, what a man was willing to do to protect his family from jail.love this film a lot.💝🇳🇬

But what is the truth is truth- Drishyam(malayalam) that stands the 2nd best IMDB rated movie in India has been remade shot by shot,scene by scene to Hindi. Because malayalam cinema has lack of exposure,doesnt means you can take away the credit. The orginal movie and its performances stand apart. (Now many will say its taken from suspect x.......but the treament and storytelling is entirely indian and orginal). Art deserves credit and appreciation for its due creators. . Now if wars could really happen over art and cinema, we would have been getting good quality cinema and those who wage such such wars will have my respect, but alas politicians arent evolved to use cinema..they can only ab'use' it by calling bans and censor cuts... -from an ardent cinema lover

+Fabin Thomas cinema is not only acting and story.. It is much more.. Malayalam cinema is great but don't compare....this movie wasn't stolen.. The director took rights from original director and he gave him rights to make the movie exactly the same... It wasn't based on the malayali movie but.. Was a remake.. And i also agree that malayali version was better than this... But don't say that it was stolen or something..

Anyone who loves filmmaking or visuals is going to love this movie. It is incredible how Ajay, who plays the father, although being illiterate, (less educated), watches movies every single night and from that knowledge manages to get away with murder. I had never thought visual memory would have been THIS POWERFUL, until I saw this. It is incredible. Jaby would also get to see Tabu's acting when he sees this one.

National awards are given only to those roles that are socially relevant. He just happens to do more of such roles. It doesn't mean he is a better actor

if we list out the movies and characters enacted by Mohanlal this space wont be enough..Please dont compare Ajay Devhan with Mohan Lal..Before you compare please get to know who MohanLal is ? Atleast read his filmography..It was his unluck he was in Malayalam film industry other wise he would have know to whole world...

I love mohanlal. true legend. RESPECT. even ajay sir have said that mohanlal is his role model from many others. I have seen original drishyam and I do not understand Malayalam bt still I knew what was going on. that is what acting is. bt ajay is also fabulous. respecting true talent is also an art. btw COMPANY is a movie where i was stunned by ajay's and vivek's performance in first half bt I must say MOHANLAL steal the show in the end. RESPECT for malayalam films and malayalam legend.

This movie was made in different languages (7-8) all over INDIA and it was a block buster in every language.. the best suspense movie.. watch it out.

But it is still an original movie. Script is just a part of the movie. If the script is copied, it doesn't make the movie copied. Movie has a lot of other elements. That's what differentiates the original from the rest. The visuals of village, the costumes and the acting of everyone felt so realistic. @Wiser zero I am not a malayali. I watched just 3 malayalam movies Bangalore days, Premam and drushyam, and I was so mesmerised by them.

kpk07 i neigther praised no criticised any of the two movie here.. Both are well directed film for their audience... i sense malyali ppl rushing to take credits and demean the Hindi version by so many different tactics ... I found the hindi version well directed

Only reason this was remade in Hindi because when it were made in regional language, it did well. Their are so many movies made in several languages and most of them do not get a remake in Hindi. Also Mohanlal didn't make it in Bollywood where Ajay Devgn is still famous and relevant over 20 years.

drishyam is a fantastic film, watch it! I watched the original malayalam version and it literally keeps you guessing throughout the whole movie.... it's great!

you need to watch this film , it keeps you interested until the very very last scene . a must must watch movie

though they did the crime , the story is actually about how the illeterate man tries to hide the offence and he does it so clean that even the cops don't be able to get evidence against him .... its an awesome movie

This is masterpiece movie that Bollywood copied every f'n scene from Malayalam Drishyam staring Mohanlal. Even Bollywood copied the tite too. Hats to Mohanlal & the rest of the team for doing your homework & provideing a epic suspense thriller film for INdia. The credit goes to Malayalam Drishyam. This trailer exact copy of Malayalam trailer too. Ajay devgn or shirya does not does deserve credit. Hit like if this white guy gave right credit to & the film indsutry too. Always give credit to originality not duplicate.

people above commenting copy, exact copy lol. It's a remake of the mallu film, I hope you guys know, how remake exactly works. Permissions, rights,etc are taken from the producers of original film and they get paid too. Anyways it's all about how you present a movie and the exposure you get. So bollywood did a good job of bringing this for the Hindi Viewers and especially Ajay Devgn did justice to the character. Intially Saif Ali khan was selected. Thank god :3

So? who is denying that? it's a fucking remake, lol don't know what's wrong with people, why you hate bollywood so much that you can't appreciate the efforts, btw talking about credits...imagine, if a friend of your clicks a pic of you and you will upload it on fb with Pic Credit: "name" but if same pic is clicked by a pro photographer for which you paid a huge amount then will you give him credits? No right?

yes complete copy of Mohanlal acting. Did you know the on the set they Ajay Devgan sit their & watch Mohanlal acting. When the scene shoot starts all Ajay Devgn need to do is copy what mohanlal did in Malayalam drishyam.

Haha still Ajay couldnt copy Mohanlal's acting bcoz Mohanlal is a born actor where as Ajay is a made actor. Ajay didnt even try to present his character differently. In tamil version Kamal Hasan tried to present the character differently. He did it with his own style. After watching this movie I realized Ajay is a big overrated actor.

You should definitely watch this movie! And do a movie review. This is one of the most underrated movies of the year.

As of my knowledge this movie Drishyam (original from Malayalam, 2013) (remade into telugu,2014; kannada, 2014; tamil, 2015; & hindi, 2015 film industries) was hit in all languages.

Must Must Must Watch this Film.. Outstanding Story Suspense everything is just Awesome👌👌👍

The malayalam version is far better though with brilliant acting from Mohanlal but bollywood is more famous so can't blame Jaby for looking into this.

Search for the story of suspect x before commenting mate. I read the novel after seeing the movie. It's not even close to a remake lol. They had similar concept which was in no way a direct remake of any sort. Unlike bollywood malayalam movies don't make direct remakes coz they are a class apart.

Drishyam had been remade into 6 more languages. Kannada, Telugu, Tamil, Hindi, Sinhalese and Chinese. The Chinese remake is called 'Sheep without a Shepherd' and it's the first Indian movie to be remade in Chinese language. The Sinhalese remake is called Dharmayuddhaya.

ajay Devgn is a good actor but he hasn't done as much diverse roles as mohanlal...mohanlals character was the main template in all the remakes...I mean there's no difference in the styles of portrayal of tht character I think...then again it's just an opinion..
