He is in love with Elizabeth and he sings the sweet and very old love song 'Drink to me only with thine eyes'. The poem (lyrics) was written in 1616 and the music is from the 18th century.
Michael Billington is Daniel Fogarty and Jessica Benton is Elizabeth Onedin in this very special historic British TV drama series set in Liverpool during 1860-1886 in a dramatic Victorian era full of romance, chivalry, innovations such as the steam engine, seafaring, beautiful sailing ships, booming transatlantic commerce and mercantile shipping.
