Well done, the combination with the NHL clips, along with the drill is great. Think the kids can really relate to it, & would motivate them while doing the drills.

Mike. I really love your content. I find that most coaches will do drills or practice a skill but never show the kids how this skill is used in game situations. It’s the answer to “why are we practicing this”. So critical for young players. Everything is pattern recognition then reaction. Thank you for doing these.

This is fantastic. Breaking the play down into individual skills and building it back up is great. Thank you very much. If your willing to make more in this format I will be viewing them. This format of video may be easier for a kid to digest as well.

Thanks So much Mike. I use these pretty consistently with coaching my high school team. They are so helpful in teaching kids hockey IQ and and teaching them to "think" the game rather than just run out there and play "chicken with their head cut off" hockey which is pretty prevalent in my neck of the woods.

I, too, enjoyed the added dimension of on ice drills included in the video. But all your stuff is great.

Nice work Mike. I love the use of the blocking pads. I once had an AC and two on-ice helpers hold up one of those long black rectangular blocks that they use split the ice in half for Tyke games. 3 people lets you form an arc and gives multiple points to bump up against in the net drive.

"Outer crease" is indeed for Ringette. Fun fact: in ringette, the only player allowed in the crease is the goalie. Players from either team aren't allowed to skate or even put a stick in the crease in ringette.

I like that it's closer to my personal level . Insted of the best of the best in hockey . It's hard sometimes to replicate when I'm on the ice (I'm a player) I would love to see how to make a defenceman breakout if the forwards are caught napping . Happens so often for me and I just have to slow the play so then it's equal chance for my guys or theirs to get up to speed . Any advice /tips or drills are much appreciated

Funny thing, gotta do this move with same intensity you would in a game, or I find it's often difficult to keep focus on both the puck handling...and keeping the defensive player away. Gotta have that physical intensity....as well as focus intensity. Often I can do this better in a game, than in practice....lol.
