What a fun video and I love the roar of the Harley! Anyway, I think I'm sold on the Ghost XL Pro because the battery life on my GoPro is abysmal, not to mention overheating and random turning itself off. Also, the Ghost looks much more streamlined for riding at speed. Great video, mate!

Good idea turning off the image stabilisation, it crops so much of the view. Is a cool camera, that battery being the main coolness 🙂

The battery life has blown my mind!!!! I constantly have battery anxiety with my GoPros. But this is so much better. Could do with a wider FOV with the stabilisation on though

Where do you explain this? Sorry, I missed it. Does the field of view become narrower when you enable stabilisation?

It does indeed. same with GoPro and DJI etc, they all crop the video to allow for stabilisation. So on a camera with a narrow FOV like the Drift, it is quite invasive on the recorded video resolution@@ukuserful

The main issue with Drift Ghost is not being compatible with the "industry standard" set by GoPro on camera mounts, so you can't use for example a chin mount from insta360 for those of us that don't like permanently fixing a camera mount to our helmets or have motoloot fluffy helmet covers in the way.

It’s good for use on open face helmets I’ve got multiple helmets for vlogging all with chin mounts Somedays you just want your face in the wind :) I can see how fluffy covers might be an issue 🤣

@@MakaJerycho I removed visor if I want to feel 120mph wind in my face, but then I get cold and flu for a week 🥵😂👌 I'll probably go for an Ace Pro personally and just keep like 1000 batteries on me 💀🙊

The microphone cable comes with the camera The mic I use is literally a laptop Skype effort, £2 eBay with a bendy wand :))))

Does it have to be mounted on the side of the helmet or can it be on the very top so its centered? Great video!

Yes can’t see why you can’t mount it on top The lens rotates to help with the angle it’s mounted So should work fine

Same as Drift Ghost XL except for image stabilisation and live stream and much more expensive. Really can’t get excited about a box.

Hello i just brought drift ghost xl few days ago. I Kinda read the manual book and saw the warning about radiation fcc exposure. And it say should put the device minimum distance 20cm between radiator & your body. And i am worried to put on my helmet or i just misunderstood the manual

😳 I have no response to that! Can’t emit any more than a mobile phone or a comms on your helmet surely!!

I see that the sound in this camera records the same noise, crackling as my drift stealth 2, and you have a mic connected to the jack.

It comes with a waterproof screw in mic adapter The mic I use is fairly old standard laptop jack mic 🤣
